14. Make sure no obstacles will obstruct a safe installation. 15. Verify all tools and materials are accounted for prior to re-installing any panel covers and/or dead fronts. Perform several visual inspections prior to closing up equipment. 16. Coordinate with Electrical Contractor, O’Donnell Snider and all Subs involved that the task is complete and will be coming back “on-line” energized. 17. Remove all LO/TO devices. 18. Verify that all affected Electrical Rooms are clear of personnel and locked. 19. Re-energize breakers with PPE, 2 personnel in 9.6 cal/cm2 rated flash suits, hot gloves and face shield. 20. Verify base building generator power has effectively transferred from emergency to normal power through base building ATS, if applicable. 21. Verify voltage and phasing is correct on affected load. Document. 22. Make sure that all equipment, affected by shutdown, is operational. 23. Close out JSA’s and all paperwork required for the installation of the new branch wiring.
Training All regular full time and temporary employees will be trained in electrical safety utilizing the O’Donnell Snider Construction Electrical Safety Training course or an approved equivalent. Employees who face a risk of electric shock, but who are not qualified persons, shall be trained and familiar with electrically related safety practices. Employee shall be trained in safety related work practices that pertain to their respective job assignments. Employees shall be trained on clearance distances. Safe work practices shall be employed to prevent electric shock or other injuries resulting for either direct or indirect electrical contacts when work is performed near or on equipment or circuits which are or may be energized. Qualified employees must adhere to the approach distances in Table S5 of CFR 1910.333 (below). O’Donnell Snider Construction only has unqualified employees.
