MAKING STRIDES Close to 1,000 people participated in Ocean City’s fifth annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K run and walk on the Boardwalk, Sunday, Oct. 18. “I’m always amazed how our community comes together to support those that have been touched by cancer,” said Beverly Furst, chairwoman of the Ocean City run and walk. “This community is always very generous and for that, I’m grateful.” Visit makingstrideswalk.org/oceancitymd for more information or to donate.
