Congratulations to Ocean Alumni Arien Ragster and Kristie January Hornsby. They were honored at the Jesse H. John Alumni Chapter’s 40 under 40 2Scholarship Soiree. The annual event recognizes the achievements of 40 young alums who are excellin in their careers and making an impact in their communities.

Ocean of Soul Alumni Chapter Mentor of the Month

Our Ocean Mentor of the Month is Charles NeSmith. Charles has been a big supporter of the mentor program since it’s launch in 2015. NeSmith, a resident of West Indian descent , has taken all of the Ocean Bahamian students under his wing. He and his mentees are currently working together to recruit more students from the Bahamas to come to Texas Southern University and march in the Ocean of Soul.
