Hello OC Venturers! Do you think your Crew has what it takes to prove they are the best Crew in Orange County? Well here is your chance to prove it! For the first time ever the OCC VOA is hosting a Venturing Camporee, right here at Firestone! The weekend will be full of competition and bonding within your own crew and with others. This is not your standard Camporee, between fun games and shooting sports we have all the ingredients for a memorable time. Come to forum for a first look at the stations and rulebook to give your crew a leg up on the competition. We hope to see you there!

What Is the Crew Sadies? Written by Rosa Le, Crew 980 President
Some of you may be wondering, what even is this Crew Sadies that I have heard about? Well, Crew Sadies is a semi-formal dance hosted by Crew 980. It’s a great way to catch up with some of your old Scout friends or meet new scouts from other Venturing Crews. Our goal is to bring together people in the spirit of Scouting to have fun and contribute to our fundraiser. The money will be used to buy new camping equipment and further expand our Venturing program. The most common misconception is that one needs a date to attend Crew Sadies. Well, you don’t because most people decide to go stag anyway. It can either be guys ask girls, girls ask guys, or stag! Crew Sadies is just a name for another Inter-Crew event. We want everyone to be able to come out and have fun! This year will be our second annual Crew Sadies! The theme is AdVENTURE is out there as in Pixar’s UP movie. It will be on March 10th, 2018, from 6PM to 10PM at 14771 Moran St., Westminster, CA 92683. It’s $15 presale and $18 at the door. You can buy a ticket from any of our Crew members who goes to your school or by contacting me. My phone number is (714)924-5229, and my email is rosale1379@gmail.com. There will be lots of food and desserts, a photo booth, a balloon room, raffle drawings, and many more! Also, we will be having the same DJ as last year, DJ MRVN! He’s not just any DJ, but he’s also an advisor from Crew 105. Come out to see him play some LIT music. Not to mention, this year, we will adding something new: Crew Sadies King and Queen! Don’t forget to nominate your favorite crew members!
