RISE

New Jersey has a relatively short history rooted in cannabis dating back to January 2010. In the early days, residents could apply for medical marijuana permits, but retailers were scarce.

Eleven years later, the Garden State decided to legalize recreational cannabis use and the state is now home to over a dozen dispensaries. RISE is a chain of dispensaries with locations in thirteen states, primarily in the Northeast.

RISE prides itself on making cannabis accessible for everyone, regardless of lifestyle or level of wellness. The Bloomfield location proudly serves medical and recreational shoppers.

RISE Bloomfield is situated in a quaint town north of Newark and west of New York City. The dispensary gives a warm welcome to all guests –a great experience whether you’re a repeat visitor or a first time buyer. Upon entering the store, an employee asks whether you are there to buy medical or recreational cannabis. New Jersey separates the two, so medical patients always have access to their cannabis inventory.

No matter which side you shop, the experience is quite similar. The dispensary has a green, white, and black color palette with a minimalist design aesthetic. White and green subway tiles line the walls. Sprinkled throughout the store are floral green installations. On the medical side, the space has a lounge area so shoppers can hangout and talk to budtenders while surfing their online inventory to find a product.

The dispensary wanted an interactive focal point for their customers, something cool and functional. Our team installed a massive 9 Row and 48 Column Split Flap for the main foyer of their dispensary. The sign greets guests and disseminates information about cannabis, RISE, and current events. The sign brings a unique feature to the subway tiled space – almost like you’re in a train station in 1950.
