OAK FARM MONTESSORI SCHOOL BRAND GUIDELINES

EDITORIAL GUIDELINES

Please follow these standards to maintain Oak Farm Montessori School Brand consistency.

Our priority is to foreground “Montessori” in our brand so it is important to spell out Montessori when writing the full name or include the “M” in an abbreviation (such as OFMS).

Our name is Oak Farm Montessori School, unless you are specifically referring to the Secondary Program (Middle School and High School), then it should be Oak Farm Montessori Middle School or Oak Farm Montessori High School.

Abbreviation rules:

Once the full name has been used in the document, an abbreviation may be used afterward.

• Acceptable abbreviations are as follows: Oak Farm Montessori; OFMS; OFMMS; OFMHS

• Unacceptable abbreviations: OFS; Oak Farm; Oak Farm School

GENERAL LOGO INFORMATION

All logo files can be found in the following locations:

• Oak Farm Shared Google Drive > All School > Logos

The .jpeg or .png file is the most accurate choice for print and digital media reproduction.

PRIMARY USE LOGO GUIDELINES

The Primary Logo should always be printed or displayed in color. When a black and white logo is required, for whatever reason, please choose the Secondary Use Logo.

PRIMARY USE LOGO

When, where, and how to use the Primary Use logo? This is the Primary Use logo. It is described as the full horizontal logo with acorn. This is the preferred choice for the majority of OFMS communication.

The Primary Use logo should be used for all school communications and advertising. It should be used on printed communications, advertising, and campus signage when and where the full Acorn image can be reproduced in accurate detail. If black and white is required, for whatever reason, please use the Secondary Use Logo.

SECONDARY USE LOGO USES

When, where, and how?

This is the Secondary Use Logo. It is described as the full horizontal logo without Acorn. This is the preferred choice for OFMS advertising and communication when a reproduction of the Acorn would result in a loss of quality, such as on Spirit Wear clothing or on an embossed promotional item or as stated above when the logo must appear in black and white.

TERTIARY USE LOGO

This section is specifically in regard to the use of logo accent features. Use of the Acorn alone:

• The acorn alone may only be used when Oak Farm Montessori School appears somewhere in the document, whether digital or print based.

• The acorn may only point down left, never up left, up right, or down right.

• The acorn may only appear when it can be reproduced accurately and never in a reduced quality, whether digital or print based.

• The acorn may be used when image constraints limit the use of the Primary Use logo lock-up.

SECONDARY (MS/HS) PROGRAM LOGO EDITORIAL GUIDELINES

Please follow these standards to maintain Oak Farm Montessori Middle School/High School Brand consistency.

Secondary Program Logo

This is the logo for the Secondary Program and should be used for all official school communication and on the Secondary Program website, starting at 7th grade. It is inspired by the popular tagline “Tall Oaks from Little Acorns Grow” representing the transition from Acorn to Leaf in the Secondary level. It also revisits the iconic Oak Leaf that appears in various media and locations around campus

SPECIALITY LOGO GUIDELINES

When, where, and how to use a Specialty Logo?

Oak Farm Montessori School has two specialty logos - the Oak Farm Falcons Logo for Sports & The Tall Oak Fund Logo for Fund Development communications and events, such as the Tall Oak Gala.

These logo lock-ups are as follows:

When do I use these logos?

OFMS Falcons logo should only be used for athletics related communication, apparel and spirit items created for the athletics program.

The Tall Oak Fund Logo should only be used for fundraising communication; including, but not limited to: Tall Oak Gala, Lead the Way and other Fund Development projects.

The Tall Oak Fund Logo may be modified in color for use in print and digital communication in Tall Oak Gala related items. Any color modifications should be relevant to the associated event, as in the Tall Oak Gala which has a theme specific color palette. The Tall Oak Fund logo may appear without the Lorene quote but never with out the associate “Grow it Tall” text.

It is recommended to keep the quote at the bottom of the Tall Oak Fund Logo, however, when the logo must reproduced in a small size, the text becomes illegible and it is better to leave it off. Both options are available in the appropriate folders.

NOTE:

These logos are used in different, but specific, instances and locations. They require their own Brand Guidelines documents detailing and describing usage, appearance, and how to access these particular files. Please reference those documents for usage rules.

LEVEL & PROGRAMMING LOGO GUIDELINES

When, where, and how to use a level or curriculum logo?

Oak Farm Montessori School has several student created logos that are used at the middle school and high school for their entrepreneurial micro-economies. While the hope is that these logos are used long term to build name and brand recognition, OFMS believes that student creativity is also important. If students have an interest in updating the established micro-economy logos, they should first meet with their teachers and then the branding committee for approval prior to introducing it to our community.

The following logos have been approved and are currently used in communication:

MIDDLE SCHOOL COFFEE SHOP BIKE SHOP

INNOLAB
