Special Note
The sculpture entitled Te-Rua-Kuriwao by the late Stephen Mulqueen punctuates the grassy area in the bay below. It was purchased by the late Gary Clatworthy and his wife from The Sculpture on the Gulf Exhibition on Waiheke in 2009 and was placed in situ with the current owner’s prior agreement. On her departure some years later from the neighbouring property the widow Clatworthy gifted the sculpture to The Waiheke Island Sculpture Trust to the benefit of the community at large. This informal arrangement with the Trust gives a home to this striking piece and can continue with change of ownership or, should new owners prefer, then with notice the Trust will arrange its removal elsewhere and reinstatement of the grounds upon which it stands.
