Anzac Commemorative Set
These two stamps (4d and 5d - date of issue 14.4.65) will be withirawn from sale at post offices on 15th June, 1965, but for the convenience of clients will be available at the Postal Division, General Fost Office, Wellington, until 31st January, 1966. 2. International Telecommunication Union.
Readers are reminded that, with a number of other member countries, New Zealand will issue a special stamp to commemorate the centenary of the International Telecommunication Union. The stamp will be placed on sale on 17th May, 1965 and the denomination will be 9d. The stamp will remain on sale at Post Offices until 15th June but will be available at the Postal Division, General Post Office, Wellington, for nine months from the date of issue. 3. Cook Islands Solar Eclipse
A reminder is given, too, of the special 6d stamp to be issued on 31st May, 1965, by the Cook Islands Administration to commemorate the Solar Eclipse to be observed at Manuae Island on Sunday, 30th May. Considerable international interest is being taken in this event and at least 100 meteorologists and scientists from all over the world are converging on Manuae Island - one of the Cook Group - to observe the eclipse. Manuae Island, considered the best vantage point, has a permanent population of about 20 people. The Postal Division, General Post Office, Wellington, will service first day covers for overseas client. in the usual way, but as the covers have to be forwarded to the Cook Islands for dispatching, clients are requested to have their orders reach
