International Co-operation Year

This ~ear - 1965 - is the 20th Anniversary of the United Nations. The General As8ellbl~ of the United Nations has designated 1965 as International Co-operation Year and has suggested, among other things, that Member States should issue a special stamp to commemorate International Co-operation Year. New Zealand is • founder member of the United Nations and will issue a special stup as tangible evidence of support, not only for the underlying purposes of International Co-operation Year, but for the United Nations itself. The stamp measures 37mm x 21mm and has been printed in twocolour lithography in sheets of 120 by Messrs Thomas De La Rue and Company, London. The SUbject is based on a co_on design prepared by the Graphic Presentation Unit of the Printing Section of the United Nations Secretariat. The design of the stamp includes. symbol corresponding to the aim of International Co-operation Year. The denomination of the stamp is 4d and it will be issued on 28th September. It will be withdrawn from sale at post offices on 6th November but, unless stocks are exhausted earlier, may be ordered by post from the Postal Division until 30th June, 1966. Health Stamps, 1965

The 1965 Health stamps depicting the Kaka, 3d postage and 1d Health, and Fentail, 4d postage and 1d Health, are available at all post offices and may be ordered by post from the Postal Division,
