PPROPOSED UNIFORM DESIGN

Brief

• Refresh elements of the uniform without parents having to re -buy the more expensive items.

• Keep the Winter Tartan fabric as current Styles can be tweaked

• A skirt that is “year-round” for high school. (to be worn with SS and LS blouse) No Pleats.

• To introduce a girls’ academic pants and shorts.

• The summer dress will be for K-9 only (not for senior school). Keeping with the current summer dress style, with a future recommenda� on to update the yarn dye, for cohesion with the College’s colour standards.

Response

In considering our response we looked at:

• How the Greater Penrith to Eastern Creek area is growing at the same rate as Greater Sydney Region

• Finer details in the uniform that show the difference between Junior (K -6), Middle (7-9) and Senior (10-12) groups

• The Penrith Progression Plan for Ac� on has the poten� al to bring more than 10 000 jobs and 5,000 dwellings to the City Centre.

• The opportunity to further enhance Penrith Anglican College's posi� on as the College of choice .

• Midford is proposing solu� ons to the brief by offering op� ons to consider both in the present and future to improve the overall cohesion of the uniform

• We reviewed the uniform in rela� on to the climate

Tunic & Skirt The

• A detachable pinafore bodice with a crossover back for comfort and mobility

• The detachable pinafore bodice provides a one-purchase solu� on as students progress and grow through the year levels. Students can con� nue to wear their skirt into Senior School, without parents having an addi� onal purchase.

• A skirt that has all year-round appeal, for Senior School and is worn with SS and LS blous e We have removed the heaviness of plea� ng and created simple lines that are fl a�ering and easy to maintain

• Contrast red lining to li� the Tartan and brighten the day in the life of a student.

Academic Pants & Sh ts Girls

• The proposed girls Pants and Shorts will align the colour standards using the charcoal grey as the exis�ng boys trousers.

• Proposing a fi ne pinstripe to add texture and a subtle femininity

• The half-elas� c back styling is a prac� cal and comfortable way to cater to varying shapes and sizes of female students across the years.
