On an individual level, the everyday living routine of a resident will evolve with the emergence of the sharing p a ra d i g m , a n d h e n c e d o m e s t i c environments should adapt to such. The studio therefore sought to envisage new modes of private living that complements the sharing neighbourhood. This is inexplicably linked to the culture existing in Joo Chiat as well. Where the shophouse used to be the basic unit of domestication, its roots are anchored deep in the collective consciousness of the residents. With the means of augmented reality, the studio attempts at preserving heritage and culture even as modes of living evolve and change with the emergence of the sharing culture.
