NURSE BECKY'S FAVORITE BOOKS By Maggie Aime, RN

YEP, YOU READ THAT RIGHT! Nurse Becky is… reading. Like, actual books! Turns out, under these coffee-stained scrubs and hot mess, she’s a total bookworm. Does that explain all those “bathroom breaks”? We’ll never know. But for now, she’s about to give her hot takes on the page-turners — or not — she’s been nosediving into lately. Fair warning, she always keeps it real — as real as the ICU being so freaking cold! Guess Nurse Becky’s gotta feed the mind, too.

Fourth Wing was thicker than Brunner & Suddarth’s med surg book (okay, not really). But if you’re up for an adventure as unpredictable as working the night shift on a full moon on Friday the 13th, grab Fourth Wing.

Her Every Fear BY PETER SWANSON OMG! Her Every Fear had Nurse Becky sleeping with one eye open! This thriller had more twists than tangled IV lines. At first, Nurse Becky was convinced that the main character, Kate, was just being paranoid about her cousin Corbin being a killer. But then clues kept piling up. Between worrying if her handsome neighbor, Alan, was a savage murderer or really telling the truth and Kate finding creepy objects stashed around the apartment, Nurse Becky just couldn’t put the book down — even when a code blue was called! Don’t even get her started on when Kate thought she heard footsteps behind her. The ending completely shocked Nurse Becky. Ever had poop-finger patients try to touch you? Yea, let’s just say Corbin was even more disturbing than that. Her Every Fear gets a 4.5/5. Just don’t read it alone at night.
