The aim of 8 Steps is to help build capable and resilient businesses across New Zealand, particularly in the Nelson/ Tasman region.

From over 20 years of experience and observations across the globe, there are six key foundational themes that massively influence the profitability and ultimate success of a business, which are rarely done to true Best Practice standards. These are:

1. Strategy Deployment

Do you have a clear, flexible business roadmap defined, linking your aspirations to deliverable actions?

2. Roles & Responsibilities

Are all roles and responsibilities clearly defined right throughout your business and do your people know what’s expected of them?

3. Effective Communication

Are you effectively communicating internally and externally using the right methods and frequencies?

4. Value and Waste

Do you know what is true value from both a customer and business perspective and what are the wasteful activities that rob your peoples time on a daily basis?

5. Process Excellence

Do you have robust processes captured and are your people trained in an effective manner to execute them?

6. Measures of Success

What do you measure in an accurate and timely manner to track/influence the above (and how)?

8 Steps can help with all of the above. Better still, you may be able to obtain government funding to work with us.
