JANUARY 11 – 2012
Excited by career change The 22 years served as a veterinarian in the Kaipara district has given local real estate professional Nicky Reid a good chance to see our beautiful part of the country first hand. Helping people (and animals!) has always been a big part of her life, including a proud record of service with both the Ruawai Fire Brigade and the Dargaville St John Ambulance Service. Now, stepping into the interesting and diverse world of Real Estate, Nicky relishes the opportunity to help people achieve their dreams and goals. A background as a solecharge manager for a 1500 acre farm in the Hawkes Bay means that Nicky is more than familiar with the rural sector, too — and that’s great news for farmers looking to buy or sell property. Working with the experienced team at Ray White’s Dargaville offices, Nicky is keen to bring her unique skills and hard-working attitude to her customers. She says that there’s a lot of crossover between being a vet and working in real estate, especially the dedication it takes to get the job done right! “I enjoy going the extra mile for people,” she says “It makes me feel good! I’m looking forward to helping people through a time of change in their lives, and will enjoy doing my best to make it as stress-free as possible for them. “ Nicky and her partner Mick Matich know firsthand what a great place this is to live. Not only for fishing (Mick is a well known local flounder fisherman) but for the outdoors lifestyle afforded by the Kaipara’s wide open spaces.
