I JUST WONDER!
I sometimes think about who was living on the part of earth I am living now. What did they do? How did they live? What language did they speak? But it all boils down to the fallibility and shortness of life. No matter how full of a life they lived, they had to leave. One day it will be the same for me too.

I just wonder what would happen if we internalized our helplessness and the greatness of the universe. Would we realize deeply that this world, in, out, and beyond, belongs to someone Great? Would we understand that this world is not a place to reside permanently? Do we heed that the way we live has consequences inside and in the hereafter? Do we heed the signs? Do we see the oppressed and vulnerable - whether they are humans, animals, or our planet - and do something about it?
But more often than not, we get stuck in the busyness of life, its demands, its attractions, its plight, its shallowness, and we forget our job. We forget that this universe belongs to Allah and we are His creation. It slips from our minds that we can live here and use the blessings of this world, but only for a period.
We ignore that the other humans, animal, and this planet has right over us and we ignore that we are not allowed to disturb this delicate balance “That you do not transgress within the balance” (55:8) created by Allah to sustain us, nourish us, and help us through life.
We also forget that our fellow human beings are also created by Allah. They are also given a specific amount of life to live, like us. They are also provided and sustained by the One who is sustaining us. They are as fallible and vulnerable as us. They, as we are also surrounded by the whispers of Shaitan and his followers. No one is inferior or superior to others. We are given free will, and so are others.
Would learning to be moderate, humble, and conscientious help? Would internalizing that Allah is our Sustainer, and Judge, enhance the love and obligations towards Him and His creations? Would looking inside our hearts, seeing the clutter and dust build up, then cleaning it, help? Maybe. I hope so. Then again, I wonder if I leave this world like it is now, do I have something to say to Allah? What I have done here? Have I left the place and people better or worse than what I got? Can I defend my choices to Him?
I just wonder!
