Looking back on 2022, it becomes clear that the North Shore Culture Compass is becoming the community cultural hub that we all aspired to when we first met to discuss in 2016.

We see assets added regularly, but also lots of opportunities to add more organizations and stories and annual events as the cultural scene on Vancouver’s North Shore is as dynamic as ever.

We’re learning that the online map and the listings of cultural assets is just the beginning. This growing database and dynamic cultural inventory inspires activations, partnerships, events, educational programmes.... and we’re only just getting started!

Thank you to the Advisory Committee who contributed ideas, expertise, and suggestions as we developed the cultural mapping project into the North Shore Culture Compass.

The following pages attempt to provide an overview of 2022 for the North Shore Culture Compass, as we continue to work together to build and strengthen this online map for the community, by the community.
