ORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE WEEKLY PRIMARY NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another productive week of learning in Primary School this week.

I had the privilege of attending the Ensemble Extravaganza earlier this week, where many of our students were given the opportunity to perform This was a great evening, showcasing the musical talents of our students If you are interested in arranging further music tuition for your child through Northside Christian College, please contact our Music department via this email address: music@ncc.vic.edu.au or visit our website for more information.

As we begin our class formation process for 2025, please be aware that all parent requests for consideration must be made to me in writing by Wednesday 6th November. That time is approaching quickly. Please note, we will not consider requests for specific teachers, but welcome information that might be helpful for us when placing students in their 2025 classes, including academic, social and emotional considerations. Students will be creating a list of their friendship preferences and our process will ensure that students receive one of their chosen friends in their 2025 class. Parent requests made after 6th November will not be able to be considered as we move closer to finalising classes in preparation for our Whole School Orientation Day, which will be held on Thursday 28th November. The students will meet their teacher and class for 2025 on this day.

I would like to leave you with this Bible verse about God's peace.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

I pray you and your family have a wonderful weekend and that the peace of God would fill your hearts and homes. God bless you!

PRIMARY SCHOOL CHAPEL

Friday 1st November, 2:15pm – 2:50pm

Parents are invited to join our Chapel session in Room 412, accessible through the foyer. Please sign in at Reception before attending.

Enjoy an item presented by the Year 4 classes.

Photos and videos of the students are not permitted at Chapel to protect the privacy of other students who may appear in the frame.

Please note that parents and pre-schoolers cannot access the Students ONLY toilets during Chapel. Staff and Visitor toilets are located in the Administration Building (near Reception) or on Level 1 in the Middle School Building.

SCHEDULING MEETINGS WITH STAFF - SEQTA

The College greatly values the opportunity to work in close partnership with families to support the learning and wellbeing of our students.

If you would like to discuss a student matter with a staff member, please use SEQTA to message the staff member and request an appointment. This allows our staff to set aside dedicated time for a meaningful conversation with you. Before and after school, staff are often on duty supervising students, making it difficult for them to engage in discussions with parents during these times By scheduling a meeting, we can ensure your concerns are given the attention they deserve.

Please also note that while staff are happy to respond to messages via SEQTA, replies may not always be immediate, particularly outside of school hours. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
