Principal’s Message

At the end of Semester 1, the Northside Christian College community gathered at Encompass Church for Primary and Secondary School Chapel services. This event provided us with an opportunity to focus on what is important for us as a community.

We are grateful to be part of a Christ-centred school community where we can learn more about the character of God through a wide range of experiences, including our Chapel services. During the Chapel service, our College Chaplain, Jared, reminded us about of our theme for 2023, Goodness, and our theme verse.

As you know, our theme verse for 2023 comes from Psalm 34:8 (NIV):

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.”

Throughout the year, we have actively explored in many ways about the Goodness of God. It has been special to reflect on how this verse invites us to draw closer to God to experience His love and the goodness surrounding Him.

We have also valued the chance to reflect on what it means to find refuge in God. May we continue to remember throughout the year, that we can find refuge in God in all circumstances – good and bad.

At Northside, our overarching theme every year guides us as a College community in developing a deeper understanding of the character of God. Our Core Values also highlight our desire to develop a deeper understanding of the character of God. Our Core Values guide our interactions with one another, support us as we work together in learning communities, and inspire us as we aim to draw closer to God. Our Values at Northside include: Love, Faith, Hope, Community, Service, Grace, Humility, Integrity and Perseverance.

Mr Michael Bond Principal

Thank you to our team of staff and parents and carers who have supported our students with their learning and character development throughout Semester 1.Our Vision at Northside is “To be an inspirational Christian learning community.” We pray we can continue to collaborate and work together to transform lives through Christ and the wonder of learning.

May we continue to be guided by God’s Word as we work together as a Christian learning community at Northside Christian College.
