MAINTENANCE TECH I OR II TECH I OR MAINTENANCE TECH I OR II TECH I OR I Morrow County Health District has an opening for a full time Maintenance Technician I or II at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. Starting rate for Tech I is $22.75 - $25.11/hr; starting rate for Tech II is $24.87 - $26.65/hr DOQ with increase after 4-month probationary period.

The Maintenance Technician I helps with construction projects, repairs walls, ceilings and floors (Cont’d) asneeded, helps move heavy equipment and bulky freight, maintains grounds of District properties including mowing, weeding, fertilizing, watering, trimming, and other landscape work, snow removal, shoveling walks, and other miscellaneous duties. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and Oregon driver’s license required.

The Maintenance Tech II assists the Director with managing and reporting duties for equipment and preventative maintenance tasks in software program, assists with care of boilers, check of fire suppression system, interior and exterior construction and maintenance projects, grounds maintenance, maintain or schedule maintenance of District’s fleet of vehicles, assist with patient lifting if requested and other miscellaneous duties. Requires an understanding of electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry, painting and grounds (Cont’d) keeping. Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping or facility maintenance or education in related field preferred.

Maintenance Techs must be able to work in confined spaces and high places. Some heavy lifting. Successful applicant will be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
