Youth Sports Programs:

Youth Jiu-Jitsu classes will begin on March 1 st There are now two sessions available: Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sessions cost $60 per child and each session lasts 6 weeks. There is a drop-in option for $10 as long as the class is not already full. Instructor Hans Rockwell describes JiuJitsu as a martial art designed for self-defense without relying on punches and kicks. This martial art is designed to help the smaller person win by focusing on techniques that are based on balancing, controlling and even choking your aggressor unconscious to secure safety in an altercation. Jiu-jitsu has been around for many decades and with MMA being so popular, Jiu-Jitsu has grown in popularity as well. In fact, Jiu-Jitsu is one of the fastest-growing combat sports in the world.
