TERRI DRIVEN TO GIVE
“Giving back and helping others has become my biggest goal in life.”
Before Terri Fox began her real estate career nearly 20 years ago, she ran a successful interior design company and raised her sons. When Terri’s mom became a REALTOR® in Michigan, she encouraged Terri to get her license and join her.

“I wasn’t sure at that time if real estate was really my passion, so I dragged my feet about getting licensed,” Terri reflects. “Then I heard about staging. Nobody was really doing it here yet, and it was big in California. I knew this would be something I could be motivated to do.”
Terri got her real estate license and earned her certification as an accredited staging professional in 2004, setting out to build a staging business alongside her real estate business. As she got her staging business up and running, friends and family members began reaching out for help buying and selling homes. After helping client after client, Terri had a realization: She loved selling real estate.
“I thought I was going to be staging homes, but I soon figured out that I loved helping clients buy and sell real estate more. I loved the contracts and negotiating. I loved working with the people. While originally, it was all about design, that ended up not being my favorite part of the job,” Terri says. “My passion was closing the deal and helping people. This job isn’t always fun. We deal with divorce, death, foreclosures, and short sales. You become a huge part of people’s lives, and they rely on you and your expertise.”
Growing and Changing Today, Terri devotes much of her time to being active in the community and supportive of those around her. She is keenly focused on being present for her family, clients, peers, and community members.
“I am living the life I love and am in a career I adore. There is nothing better,” Terri beams.
Terri is excited about her future, hoping she can focus more energy on her business and community. Giving back has become the core of her work. She’s the Vice President of the Judge Fite Charitable Foundation and regularly fosters dogs, alongside her unwavering commitment to other fundraising and community support initiatives.
Beyond Real Estate
In 2005, Terri met her husband, Garrett, who later joined her in real estate. Terri’s children are now adults. Her sons are in their early 30s and living very close by. Her bonus daughter, Grace, graduates from Prosper High School this spring and will head to college at Ole Miss.
Outside work, Terri enjoys cooking, going to new restaurants, walking her dog, and golfing. In the months and years ahead, she’s looking forward to traveling more. Terri and her husband, Garrett, have several exciting trips planned for the year ahead, including Paris and Portugal.
Stay Kind
In Terri’s 19 years in real estate, she has earned an impressive array of awards and accolades, but she generally prefers to do her job quietly. While she remains a bulldog negotiator and a staunch client advocate. Her primary goal is to lead with compassion. As Terri speaks about her desire to be of service, her words are delivered with sincerity and passion.
“My goal in life is to be kind, help people, give back, and do as much as I can. If everyone does a little, it makes a big impact.”
