RETURN ADDRESS

NCRS NORTH CENTRAL CHAPTER Dave Murphy Editor 279 Lily Pond Lane Vadnais Heights, MN 55127

MAIL TO:

January to March 2017 EDITION

Hope you all had a nice winter, wherever and however you like to spend it. I’m sure all of you, like me, are anxious for spring to arrive. The weather is finally warming up, the ice is “out,” and soon the Corvettes will be out as well. Here’s a recap of our club events and activities over the past few months.  We had a really good turnout at our annual winter dinner at Mancini’s. Thanks to Don O’Grady for making the arrangements. For door prizes, we gave away four gift cards to local restaurants, lots of gourmet coffee treats (donated by Dale Anderson), $30 gift certificates to Paragon, and eight bottles of Seafoam.  Our chapter held a general membership meeting March 4 at Old World Pizza. The goals of that meeting were to enlighten members about club activities, board member responsibilities, and a report of our financials. We had about twenty members come to this meeting, including our eight board members. Whether or not you attended the meeting, please consider getting more involved in our chapter events. Thanks so much to Alden Miles for organizing the presentations for the meeting. Paragon gift certificates and Seafoam were given as door prizes.  A HUGE thank you to Mike Kittle for his work as chapter secretary over the past couple of years. We will miss Mike and his wife, Phyllis, when they move back to Tennessee in the near future.  With Mike’s departure, we will be losing a board member and would like to solicit anyone who is interested in serving. Please contact Rick Zierhut or any board member if you would be interested. Our representation at the World of Wheels at the US Bank Stadium March 17 – 19 in Minneapolis was quite awesome. We had seven cars on display, one from each generation C-1 through C-7. This was a huge undertaking to organize and we would like to extend a big thank you to Alden and Lyn Miles for their work on this event. Our chapter received the Outstanding Club Display Award for the show. Our crack membership guru, Jerome Lardy, signed up several new members to our club! Remember that the Iowa Heartland regional judging meet will be held May 4 – 6 in Newton, Iowa (suburb of Des Moines). This is very close to us if you are looking for a regional top flight award. The North Central Chapter will have a Spring Chapter event, hosted by Mark Swanson In River Falls, Wisconsin on Sat., May 20. There will be just two cars judged at this event – an all original ‘54 and an all original ‘82. We have restricted the number of cars to be judged at this event to two due to space constraints. We are looking for judges, if you are interested. If you have ever thought of attending Corvettes of Carlisle Aug. 24 – 27 in Carlisle, Penn., now is the time to make those arrangements. This is the largest Corvette event in the world. If you’re interested, please contact Rick Zierhut or Bob Lund. As always, there are several of our club members who will be attending. Come join the fun! Happy Spring! See you “On the Road Again”!

The renewal season is over and 117 members renewed their membership from 2016. Since the beginning of the year, three new members have joined, bringing our membership total up to 120. These are our new members: Steve Chelte was a previous member and has decided to rejoin. Steve resides in Plymouth, MN and owns a ’63 Split Window that he is restoring. Rick Andrea lives in Maplewood, MN and he was also a previous member. Rick has a ’63 Split Window along with a ’67 coupe. Rick was able to attend the dyno tech session that we had in February and met several of our members. Joe Baumann resides in Woodbury, MN and says he was also a previous member of our chapter. Joe owns a ’54 red on red Corvette that is partially restored. He purchased it in 2004 from the second owner. I have encouraged Joe to attend our chapter judging meet in May as we will be judging a ’54 Corvette at that event. An interesting theme here is that all three were previous members of our chapter. Life takes over our hobbies from time to time but when things settle down, we can always come back. At the World of Wheels car show, we had many potential new members stop by and visit with us. I will have an update for you in the next newsletter. Thanks to all who helped us promote the NCRS at our display, and to those who attended.

I want to thank Larry Stauffacher who drove over from Sioux Falls, SD to attend the World of Wheels. Unfortunately he had some sad news for us. Eric Johnson, 73, of Madison, SD passed away unexpectedly on March 6. You may not have known Eric, but you may have seen his books, The Corvette Mystery and Hamburgers and Hot Rods, advertised on our member advertising page in the chapter newsletter. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Jennifer and to the Johnson family. Jerome Lardy, Membership Chairman

NORTH CENTRAL CHAPTER 2016

The North Central Chapter participated in the NCRS Chapter Award Program again in 2016. This program was developed to promote member involvement and participation in Chapter events, while encouraging the sharing of knowledge in the restoration and preservation of the Corvette. Congratulations to the North Central Chapter!!! For the fifth year in a row, we have been awarded a Chapter Top Flight Award. I thought you might find it interesting to see how we accomplished this feat. To earn the Chapter Top Flight Award, our Chapter had to perform/complete all eight required activities and a minimum of six variable activities during the program year. We started out 2016 with 120 members and ended the year with 125 members. The NCRS considers us to be a medium sized chapter (75 to 150 members). REQUIRED ACTIVITIES (need all 8) 1) Host at least one local Chapter Judging Meet. We held two meets: a Regional Judging Meet on May 19 and a Chapter Judging Meet on Aug. 20. 2) Conduct one technical seminar. We had 9 of them this year. 3) Conduct one judging school. We hosted one on Sept. 17. 4) Conduct one membership meeting to select officers. This was held on Oct. 6. 5) Conduct one chapter charitable event. We held a silent auction at our Regional Judging Meet and raised $1346.00 for the NCRS Foundation. At least two of our member’s children have received scholarships from the NCRS Foundation. 6) Conduct one chapter road tour. We held two this year going to Belle Plaine, MN and River Falls, WI. 7) Conduct one chapter social event. We had two: one at Mancini’s Restaurant and the second at Cowboy Jack’s. 8) Chapter website must be maintained and linked to www.ncrs.org which ours was.

VARIABLE ACTIVITIES (need 6 of 8)

1) Seventeen members (14%) had their cars judged during 2016. The minimum requirement is 5%. I am basing the percentages off of the ending membership of 125 members. Though the percentages might not be accurate for the date of the event, they will give you a good idea of our participation ratio. 2) We had six technical articles published in our chapter newsletter. As a medium sized chapter, we needed six. 3) Thirty members (24%) judged or tabulated at our judging meets. The minimum requirement is 15%. 4) Thirty three members (27%) drove their Corvettes to a chapter function in 2016. The minimum requirement is 15%. 5) Twelve different members (10%) drove their Corvettes on the two chapter road tours. The minimum requirement is 5%. In addition, we had a third bonus road tour drive down to the Regional meet. This group would’ve increased our percentages even more. Unfortunately, this road tour did not have a sign in sheet, so this was not included in the percentages stated. 6) Seventy four members (60%) attended at least one chapter event during 2016. The minimum requirement is 20%. This is why you fill out the sign-in sheets at all the tech sessions! 7) We set up an NCRS display at the Vettes for Vets car show and eleven members showed up for this event. This requirement promotes the NCRS and encourages the registration of new members. 8) There is a minimum requirement for our chapter to donate at least $100.00 to a 501-3C charity that helps or assists people. It cannot not be linked to any political party or person. Our chapter donated $100.00 to the NCRS Foundation. Thank you to all our members who participated in chapter events in 2016. We could not have obtained this award without your help. If you were unable to attend an event this past year, we would love for you to join us in 2017. We are already off to a strong start! I look forward to seeing you soon. Jerome Lardy Chapter Flight Program Administrator

Paragon Corvette Club Rewards Program a Success for 2016 The North Central Chapter NCRS participated in the Paragon Club Rewards Program during 2016. Here’s how the program works. Each calendar year Paragon adds up the total value of all parts purchased by participating club members (excludes labor, restorations & used parts).

The North Central Chapter will then receive 3% of that value in the form of either gift certificates or stocked Paragon items. The club would then use these gift certificates as giveaways/door prizes at club functions such as Tech and Judging sessions, and other chapter functions. This program does not affect any discounts you currently enjoy with Paragon. 2016 was a fantastic success. Paragon Corvette notified the Chapter that we have earned $330.00 in reward dollars. Stay tuned for how we plan to use the rewards dollars.

Paragon Corvette Club Rewards Program to continue in 2017 The following 22 chapter members are currently participating in the Paragon Club Rewards Program on behalf of the North Central Chapter. For those North Central Chapter members who participated in 2016 and wish to continue in 2017, you don’t need to do anything. If you’d like to join the list of chapter participants, please follow the instructions below. Richard Andrea Doug Jolstad Tom Howey Gerry Gartner Dave Cloutier Mark Kravik Steve McWhirter Roger Carlson

Bill Kohl Robert K. Eddy Mike Kittle Jerome Lardy Paul Klemetson Doug Brekke Steve Johnson

Bob Schroeder Steve Hudak Alden Miles Bill Neumiller Mark Swanson David Gooley Hans Skalle

To be added to the list of participating chapter members please send you name and Paragon Corvette customer number if you’ve purchased from Paragon Corvette in the past to Roger Carlson at rogerpcarlson@gmail.com. Don’t worry if you don’t know or can’t find your Paragon Corvette customer number, as Paragon will look it up for us. If you have any questions please email Roger. Let’s make 2017 another success.

Corvette Track Time and Private Tour of Famed Albaugh Collection Headline the Not-to-be-Missed

Heartland Regional Event May 4-6, 2017 Iowa Speedway, “Fastest Short Track on the Planet,” Will Be Ground Zero for This Incredible Event It seems only appropriate that a world-class Corvette judging event be held at a world-class race-track. With highbanked ovals and super high-speed straightaways, the NASCAR-owned Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, will be under siege with the best Corvettes in existence May 4-6. The Corvettes of course are the focus of the three-day NCRS Heartland Regional. But the talk among NCRS members and their friends is about two things: driving their Corvettes onto the track and taking the exclusive private tour of Dennis Albaugh’s spectacular Chevrolet automobile collection — two once-in-a-lifetime experiences at one event. Indoor Judging and Corvette Track Time The judged Corvettes will be in the same infield garage used by NASCAR for racing events. Iowa Speedway is an absolutely perfect venue for a Corvette judging event, and the month of May in Iowa promises near-perfect weather. The track, known as the “fastest short track on the planet” and owned by NASCAR, will be allow attendees to experience a true racing experience by driving their Corvettes on the track. Private Tour of the Dennis Albaugh Collection Dennis Albaugh is well known for his agricultural crop protection products business, but in addition to that, Dennis is a true car guy. Even more importantly, he is a Corvette and Chevrolet car guy down to the bone. Albaugh’s Corvette and Chevrolet collection display is truly world class and second to none, it is a private collection, not open to the public. Regional event host NCRS Heartland Chapter has arranged for a private tour of this incredible collection of Corvettes, Chevrolets, and automobilia, all contained in a spectacular building. Event registrants may tour the facility for a small fee that will be donated to Dennis’s selected charity. The collection, widely considered the best single Chevrolet automobile collection in the world, contains • a Corvette from each year 1953 through the late 1970s • one of every convertible Chevrolet offered from early 1900s to late 1970s • a 1913 Chevrolet (the first year Chevrolet went into production) • a 1918 Chevrolet with the first V8 engine • Yenkos, SSs, and much more. The quality and breadth of Albaugh’s cars is incredible, but the facility where they are displayed is spectacular. Each vehicle is professionally described on placards, and there is an incredible display of automotive memorabilia throughout the building. Even if you have visited Dennis’s collection in the past, he has added to the facility with even more cars. More Things to See and Do Brad Davenport, Chairman of the Heartland Chapter that is hosting the event, notes, “Having two bucket-list experiences at a three-day NCRS event is pretty awesome. You will definitely have special and unique experiences, memories and photos to share with family and friends.” Here are other fantastic things to see and do during the event: • The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is in nearby Knoxville, the epicenter for sprint car racing. • The 82nd annual Tulip Festival in nearby Pella will be in full bloom celebrating Pella’s Dutch heritage—featuring tulip gardens, crafts, music, food, Dutch costumes and daily parades. • The Amana Colonies, famous for superb hand-crafted furniture, clothing, and food, is a short drive away.  Right here in Newton near the speedway is the Maytag Dairy Farm, featuring the famous Maytag Blue Cheese.

Register for the NCRS Heartland Regional online at www.NCRS.org

The club hosted a membership meeting at 11a.m. on March 4 at Old World Pizza at 5660 Bishop Ave in Inver Grove Heights. Each Board member presented their objectives and the chapters financial information was presented by the Treasurer. There was a short question answer session at the end.

The annual winter social was held at Mancini's Restaurant in St. Paul in February. We had a good turnout and great conversation with members and guests. The food was exceptional as usual and a good time was had by all. Special thanks to all that donated for wonderful door prizes.

My name is Paul Burski and I hosted a NCRS tech session on January 28 th. We had over 20 NCRS members attend the session. I normally do a repair or a rebuild project on my ‘62 every winter and try to get the project completed so I can drive the car once the weather warms up. I purchased the car from my father almost 10 years ago and have installed a new interior, including a new dash pad, rebuilt the engine, transmission and the rest of the drive line. This year, I decided to rebuild the front suspension since it had some play in it and I thought tearing out my front suspension would make for an interesting tech session. Alden Miles came over the night before and we spent four hours jacking up the car, removing the tires and disconnecting the brakes. Once we had the car jacked up, we discovered that the radiator needed to be removed in order to get at all of the bolts holding the front suspension to the frame. The suspension is held in the car by only 16 bolts. I removed eight of the bolts before the tech session started and I thought the remaining eight bolts would be fairly easy to remove during the session. Unfortunately, it took us about three hours to get the remaining bolts removed. We had one bolt on the right side of the car that was difficult to reach and very rusted. Eventually, we were able to grind the nut off the bolt. With the bolts removed, we finally got the suspension dropped out of the car. We put it on an aluminum stand and started to disassemble the A-arms, springs, shocks, and kingpins. After the tech session, I took the rest of the components apart and will take them to my friend’s house to put in his alkaline dip tank to remove the rust. I plan on blasting all of the parts and repaint the parts with chassis paint myself when the weather warms up. I discovered most to the components are in good shape and I should only have to replace the shocks, springs, tie rod ends and some of the rubber bumpers and seals. After I get the painting completed, I will reassemble the suspension and have the car aligned. I was disappointed that the tech session didn’t go as planned and that it took so long to get the final bolt removed. However, I was told by multiple members this was a normal occurrence at a NCRS tech session.

Dyno Session The restoration of my 1963 coupe took another big step when we put the 327 – 340 hp engine on the Dyno at the tech session on Saturday, February 22 nd. Thanks to the club members who attended, and special thanks to Randy Quam of Competition Engine and Bob Lund who built and prepared the engine. The block, crank and several other parts were being stored under my garage steps for over 40 years. It’s the first time since 1974 that the original engine has been back together. The original block was replaced with a 1970 LT1 350 short block because at the time it was much more cost effective than rebuilding the original motor. The session went very well. While I was a little nervous at first, the engine looked, ran, and sounded fantastic! It was also great to share the experience with my youngest son Brandon. I can’t wait to get it home and start building out the drivetrain and chassis. If anyone took pictures or recorded it while it was running, I’d love to get copies. My email is: jeff.b.henry@gmail.com. I continue to learn more about the car every day. It’s been a lot of fun and I and look forward to future tech sessions. Thanks to everyone for their help and support Jeff Henry

Roger reported that he has closed the Chapter financial books for the year 2016. Roger submitted three reports to the chapter board members for their review (2016 Revenue & Expenses, 2016 Annual Report and 2016 Annual Report to Members). Bottom line is that the Chapter continues to be in very good financial condition. Roger will utilize the 2016 Annual Report to Members at upcoming Membership Meeting in March. Using the expense information captured over the past two years, Roger has created a 2017 Pro Forma for expenses. The Board will utilize this informatio to better prepare and implement programs for 2017. Roger updated all that the chapter has CD’s which will be up for renewal over the next few months. Upon further investigation by Roger on the interest earned if renewed versus time the funds will be tied up, Roger will investigate moving the funds over to a chapter money market account.

C7 (14-Present) Steve Hudak’s 15 If you can volunteer your corvette for this event, please contact Alden Miles immediately. Alden reported a date conflict (March 18th) between the scheduled General Membership Meeting and the club’s participation in the World of Wheels event. Alden expressed the need for input from the board on how many members to plan on attending as well budget monies set aside to cover expenses. Alden did request the board’s permission to begin investigation and work on additional Chapter sponsorships. At present the club has only a couple sponsors, but all present agreed that we need to investigate additional possibilities. Chris Enstom provided background on our current situation with Village Chevrolet. Alden will follow up with Village on opportunities with them for the coming year.

•Judging Report -- Chris Enstrom – Chris reported that he has locked in the date of August 12th, for a fall chapter judging meet that will be held at Steve Hendrickson’s facility in Long Lake. Chris is continuing to work on a venue and date for a spring chapter judging meet. Mark Swanson graciously offered to hold the spring judging event at his garage in May. Chis and Mark will work out the details and Chris will send out a notice to all members. Chris has sent an email to all members with information regarding the upcoming “Heartland Regional” that will be held on May 4 – 6, in Newton, Iowa. Many chapter members have expressed interest in attending and helping at the event. •Website Report -- Nick Kornder - Nick continues to make enhancements to our chapter web and Facebook sites. Nick reported that he has updated the sites with the January M.O.M. Nick will send added information out within the coming weeks. •Newsletter Report -- Dave Murphy – Dave updated all that the 4th Quarter Newsletter has been completed and sent to all members. Dave will begin collecting information for the first quarter newsletter which he plans to complete in early April. Based on conversation at the November, 2016 Board Meeting, Dave has created a short, simple questionnaire to be sent out for members to complete so the board can better plan events to build member participation and enthusiasm. •Membership Report – Jerome Lardy – Jerome reported that we have one new member that has joined our chapter, Jeff Wilhelm from Jamestown, ND. Welcome Jeff, we look forward to meeting and working with you at future Chapter events. Jerome updated all that he is continuing to receive dues submitted by our members. In about a week, Jerome will start sending out individual emails to all the members who have not responded. At present the chapter stands at 127 total members. To date, 89 members have renewed and 38 members remain open to renew. Jerome is in the process of completing the paperwork needed to submit the yearend report for the Chapter Top Flight Award to Bill Braun. Once he has completed this, Jerome will work with

Rick Zierhut on the annual report that he needs to submit to Bill. •Tech Report -- Bob Lund – Bob updated all that he is still looking for possible venues to hold Tech Sessions. During the winter months, holding tech sessions remains difficult. Bob requests help from any members in this regard. •Activities Report -- Don O'Grady – Although absent from the meeting, Don did provide an update on Chapter Activities. Most recently Don sent out information and signup form to all members for the upcoming “Winter Social” that will be held on February 25th at Mancini’s Char House, 531 West 7th Street St Paul MN. Social Hour will begin at 6 pm, with Dinner at 7 pm. Please plan to attend this great function. Nick will send out a reminder notice regarding this event within the next few days. • Member at Large – Paul Burski – Paul reported that the January 2017 M.O.M. which features Tim DeAtley of Menomonie, Wisconsin, and his collection of six Corvettes has been sent to all members and posted on the Chapter Facebook and Web site. Paul is currently working with several members for M.O.M.’s for February, March and April. •Old Business – Per Alden’s earlier concerns with conflict of dates, motion was made and seconded that we move the General Membership Meeting to Saturday, March 4th, to relieve the conflict with the “World of Wheels” event on March 18th. It was decided to hold the General Membership Meeting at Old World Pizza as they will provide meeting space to the chapter at no added charge. Based on this, Roger set budget monies aside to help cover lunch expenses for this event. Alden and Nick will send out formal information regarding this event in coming days. •New Business - None

Alden is developing a booth work schedule for the event for all members who have volunteered their time to help. Alden will send out details to all members shortly. The Chapter will have tables set up in the booth where working members can meet and discuss with interested prospects what National NCRS and the North Central Chapter are all about. Alden reported that he is developing a standardized Power Point slide format for each board member to utilize for their portion of the upcoming “Membership Meeting”. Alden will send the suggested slide format to each board member for review within the next week. The “Membership Meeting” venue has been finalized: “OLD WORLD PIZZA” in Inver Grove Heights. •Judging Report -- Chris Enstrom – Chris reported that we have now finalized a Spring Chapter Judging event that will be held on May 20th. THANK YOU to Mark Swanson for offering to host this event at his home garage in Hudson. Chris has already added this event to the NCRS National web site for all to preview. At present we have two cars signed up for judging at this event – an all original ’54 and an all original ‘82. Chris will restrict the number of cars to be judged at this event due to space constraints. Chris will send out a notice of the Spring Judging event to all members and request names of members interested in being judg-

es. Chris updated all that due to his job work schedule he has not been able to formalize a subject matter for a future judging school for this year. Chris reported that NCRS National is introducing a new “NCRS Generational Award” program. This new award is open to all NCRS members. Details of this new program can be seen in the most recent issue of “The Corvette Restorer” on page five (5). Chris updated all on details regarding the new “Concours Judging” level. NCRS National has developed special judging sheets to be used for this new segment and will start test judging a few cars at the Lakeland, Florida event before rolling this program out to the Chapter level. Additional details of this new program can be previewed on page five of The Corvette Restorer magazine. Based on conversation / discussion around the possible use of outside speakers for a major chapter event at the January board meeting, Chris recommended that the board consider hosting a similar event that was held by the New England Chapter in 2016. Chris suggested that each board member read through the information regarding the New England Chapter event in the recent issue of “The Corvette Restorer” on pages 48 and 49. •Website Report -- Nick Kornder - Nick continues to make enhancements to our chapter web and Facebook sites. Nick reported that he has updated the sites with the February M.O.M. as well 41 pictures taken at the recent Tech Session held at Paul Burski’s home. Jerome Lardy has updated the new member handbook and Nick has posted it to the Chapter website.

•Newsletter Report -- Dave Murphy – Dave reported that the 4th quarter newsletter has been sent to all members and Nick has posted it on the chapter web site. Dave updated all on the results obtained from the recent questionnaire that was sent out to members who seldom come to Chapter events. The intent here was to gain a clearer perspective and understanding of what members would like to see the chapter have/do in order to build member participation and enthusiasm. The results of the survey are attached. The board would like to THANK each member who responded to this survey. Your voice has been heard! We will act upon your recommendations! •Membership Report – Jerome Lardy - Jerome reported that we have two new members joining our Chapter. Rick Andrea of Maplewood, MN, and Steve Chelte of Plymouth, MN Welcome to the North Central Chapter as we all look forward to meeting you and working with you! Jerome updated all that we currently have 124 members. 18 of these members still need to renew for 2017 and he sent out individual emails to all and heard back from 5 so far. Jerome announced that the Chapter has received the NCRS Top Flight Chapter Award for 2016. This constitutes five straight years of TOP FLIGHT AWARD for the chapter. Thank you to all the members of our chapter who participate in our events that make this possible. .

•Tech Report -- Bob Lund – Unfortunately Bob was not able to attend due to the passing of his mother. Nick Kornder did send out to all members 41 photos taken at the most recent Tech Session held at Paul Burski’s home. •Activities Report -- Don O'Grady – Don reported that we have 29 persons signed up for the upcoming Winter Social dinner that will be held at Mancini’s Char House in St. Paul on February 25th. Don has sent a formal signup sheet out to all members regarding this event. Nick Kornder will resend the signup details out in the next few days to all. Don updated all that he has begun work on a “Spring Social” event. Don requested input from board members on possible venue locations (other than east metro) that would attract member participation. Don suggested that we approach Village Chevrolet, a chapter sponsor, to hold an event and BBQ at their facility. Don will follow up in this regard.

• Member at Large – Paul Burski – although absent, Nick Kornder reported that the February 2017 M.O.M. which features Gary and Cindy Detjen and their beautiful 1978 Silver Anniversary Coupe has been sent to all members and posted on the Chapter Facebook and Web site. Paul is currently working with several members for M.O.M.’s for March and April. •Old Business – None •New Business – The Chapter Board is officially looking for a member to step forward and become an assistant to Bob Lund as Tech Director. This new position will be created to help Bob in the development and scheduling of Tech Sessions with chapter members throughout the year. The Board requests that if YOU are interested in serving the chapter in this position, please submit your name to Rick Zierhut and Bob Lund. Also, if you are interested in hosting an upcoming tech session please contact Bob Lund or any board member with your project. The chapter has some specialty tools available for use during tech session along with many members with a vast knowledge on all generation that are willing to assist you with your projects. Steve Hudak proposed to the board that consideration be given for the North Central Chapter to sponsor an "Education Scholarship Program". The scholarship would be a cash amount given to a deserving chapter members child or grandchild for use on post high school supplies or tuition. Student contestants would be required to submit an essay in order to be chosen. Steve, Juli and Mackenzie Hudak have offered to take the lead on this project to get it up and running. Jerome encourages all chapter members children and grandchildren to continue applying for the NCRS Foundation scholarships that are also available through the NCRS. Two of our chapter members children have received these $1200 scholarships. The board will review such a program and report back in upcoming board meetings.
