Wednesdays, Jan 18, 25 & Feb 1 12:30-1:30 pm | Multi-Purpose Rm How would you like to learn some simple, effective exercises to add to your daily routine in 2017? Join the Vision for Healthy Living series of exercise events that don’t require a full gym or the flexibility of a gymnast. Each week’s class will be on a different topic but they will all focus on teaching easy access exercises that make a real difference every day. Classes are open to all ages and all exercises will be offered with modifications to accommodate the needs of participants. $5/class. NEW! ParentRest Book Study: Blessing of a Skinned Knee

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Education Session: Research and Resource

Saturday, February 11 | 9:00-10:30 am Room 209 This talk, given by the Alzheimer’s Association MN/ND chapter through the Normandale Center for Healing & Wholeness, will provide an update from the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference as well as information on resources new and old that are available for caregivers and those living with dementia.

Saturday, Feb 11 | 10:30 am - 12:00 noon Wednesday, Feb 15 | 6:00-7:30 pm Room 205-206 The Normandale Center for Healing & Wholeness, along with the Alzheimer’s Association MN/ND chapter, are proud to sponsor monthly support groups for

people who are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease. Normandale Center staff and trained Memory Companion volunteers will be available to spend time with care receivers with Alzheimer’s disease while caregivers attend the support group. Vision for Healthy Living: Hope for Recovery Saturday, February 11 9:00 am - 3:00 pm The final piece in the series of “Talking About Mental Health” events, Hope for Recovery is a one-day educational workshop that provides families and individuals with information, hope and practical strategies for dealing with the complexities of mental illness. Participants will learn about mental illnesses, treatments, coping strategies, the mental health system and local resources.
