Shoe Box Appeal
A huge thank you to the Norfolk House School community for your generosity with the shoe box appeal. The shoe boxes are due to be shipped to Ukraine over half term. We collected 35 shoe boxes in total. Thank you again!
House Cross Country
On Friday afternoon, we had a fabulous cross country event at Avery Fields. Year 1 – 6 all competed for their Houses and ran hard on a course with a variety of surfaces and a number of different hills. It was a great afternoon in which all the children tried their best for their Houses. EYFS completed their own House Run in the play ground.
Year 5 & 6 Trip to NT Moseley Old Hall
Year 5 and 6 had a wonderful trip to Moseley Old Hall this week. Moseley Old Hall is known as "The house that saved a king", and was one of the hiding places of King Charles II following his defeat at the Battle of Worcester. We saw the very same bed the defeated king slept in, and the priest hole where he hid. We also looked through the window he would have looked through 372 years ago, as he watched members of his defeated army on their journey back to Scotland. After our interesting and informative tour, we were able to explore the grounds, including the willow tunnel, the meadow and the tree hide. The children were enthusiastic and well behaved and represented school very well. Well done, Year 5 and 6!
