Week 1 Assignment description

Grading criteria

Exercise 1: Surrounding object rendered in pencil

Feedback: I was very excited for this drawing as it was my first drawing, but I could have added more details and shadows, also the orientation wasn't that good.

Exercise 2:Drawing from observation and memory

Feedback: I was surprised of the results as I thought that I wouldn't remember much details but it turned out that it was better than what I thought

Exercise 3:single object rendered in pencil

Feedback: This was our first rendering exercise, I already had a background on shading as I am repeating the course so I had no problem with shading. I think the proportions are not that good.

Week 1 reflection

The first week was an introduction week so it wasn't that hard and it made me learn many things , I learned different shading techniques and got introduced more to perspectives so I applied them in the following assignments.

Exercise 4:Analyzing basic geometric shapes

Feedback: Although the assignment was a little bit hard to understand and I couldn't imagine the shapes correctly but the rendering was good and proportion could have been better.

Exercise 5:Composition of objects in the same scene

Feedback: The assignment didn't receive a very good feedback because the alignment of objects wasn't very good and I could have added a background

Week 2 reflection

The first assignment was somehow challenging and the outcome wasn't very good but the second assignment was better and it showed better development in the shading techniques and it shows .

Exercise 6:object from one and two point perspective

Feedback: I got introduced more too perspectives here and I got to experiment it more.Although the rendering is good but I could have added a background

Feedback: I struggled alittle bit at thebeginning of the assignment to et angles that could be drawn but it received a good feedback as the angles were good but shading could havebeen improved

Week 3 reflection

We got introduced to perspectives in this week which is one of thebasic concepts of freehand drawing. I also felt that my rendering techniwues and proportions measuring got really improved in exercise 7

Week 4 Assignment description

Grading criteria

Exercise 8:object rendered using different techniques

Feedback: I was really impressed by my skills in this assignment as they got really improved and I really liked how different textureswere shown using different mediums and it received a very good feedback but the proportions could improve

Week 4 reflection

The main topic in this week was the different rendering techniques and colour rendering.I was so excited as I had a background and I knew basics about watercolouring so I learned quickly

Week 5 Assignment description

Exercise 9:Rendering an object in markers

Feedback: this was my first assignment with markers so I triedin my sketchbook several times before doing this assignment. I liked the outcome but the rendering could have been better. It got a very good feedback but the proportions were not good.

Exercise 10:Landscape element rendered in watercolours

Feedback: This is my favorite assignment in the course as I knew how to use water colours correctly and I was really surprised by the outcome. The feedback was good as rendering was good but the boat could have been bigger

Exercise 11:draw Exterior perspective scene with pencils

Feedback: This was our first on campus class, drawing a perspective scene from a real observation was challenging , it didn't receive a very good feedback as the angles were not accuratebut shading was good

Week 5 reflection

Each assignment of this week was about different topic and criteria . I liked the markers very much and I learned them well but watercolours were my favorite and they received a very good feedback but the perspective still needed more focus and practicing.

Grading criteria

Exercise 12:repeating exercise 11 in colours

Feedback: The perspective wasn't very good but this was mentioned in the previous assignment. I expectedthe rendering to be better but watercolouring buildings turned out to be harder that what I thought.

Feedback: The feedback was better than what I thought, the perspective was good but rendering and the choice of colours could have been better

Week 6 reflection

This week consisted of only two assignment, we got introduced to one point perspective and I found it very useful. Mixing colours with perspectives was a bit challenging for me, the assignments received very good feedcback regarding the rendering but the perspectives still needed more focus.

Week 7 Assignment description

Exercise 14:two point perspective rendered in colour

Feedback: I really didn't like the outcome of this assignment. We were on campus while drawing it so I found it a little bit harder, the feedback was that the rendering was good and the perspective could havebeen better.

Feedback: this assignment was one of my favorite as I mixed between marers and watercolours, it received a very good feedback, some angles were distorted but the rendering was very good

Feedback: Icould see my techniques in redering getting better here and also the perspective measuring for the first time was getting better. It received a very good feedback as I included texture and material with rendering

Week 7 reflection

The three assignments taught me different skills, the first one taught me to be patient with perspsectives and knowing how to choose a good angle, I learned from the second one to mix rendering mediums in a good way and the third one I mixdd between getting a good angle and mixing rendering mediums.

Week 8 Assignment description

Grading criteria

Exercise 17:exterior 2 point perspective stairs

Feedback: The assignment was hard because drawing stairs with perspective requires real focusing on perspective rules. I received the feedback that I expected, the rendering wasn't bad but the perspectives needed to be more accurate.

Feedback: Using the feedback Itook, I decidedto redraw the same assignment again as I believed that I could do better.The development of the perspective rules and rendering techniques is so clear and it received a better feedback.

Exercise 18:one point perspective (arcades)

Feedback: Arcades drawing is hard as drawing semicircles in perspectives is very hard, I had to practice alot before actually drawing it, the rendering wasn't bad but I could havedone more. The feedback was that the perspective wasn't accurately drawn but well rendered.

Exercise 19:tracing object at different time

Feedback: I liked the assignment so much and it was fun drawing the same drawing at different times of the day. The assignment received a good feedback as the rendering techniques were very good but the shadow wasn't well positioned

Week 8 reflection

I was really satisfied with the outcome of this week.I was happy that I learned drawing stairs and arcades as it was something new for me . Although the shadow observing required very long time but I had fun with it tand I was surprised with the outcome.

Week 9 Assignment description

Exercise 20:exterior perspective showing shade and shadow

Feedback: The exercise was hard for me because I was so confused with the new techniques and rules so the perspective angles and the shadow angles too but the pencil rendering was good.

Feedback: Although the rendering could be better and the shade and shadow could be more enhanced but it got a very good feedback as the perspctive was accurately drawn and the details were good.

Week 9 reflection

This week was so productive and informative, we larned shade and shadow and doing sgadows with perspective. I practiced alot so I didnt have a problem in them but I still needed more practicing.

Week 10 Assignment description

Exercise 22:exterior cubes showing shade and shadow

Feedback: This exercise was on campus so it was easier because the doctor and TAs were around to help whenever I struggled in something so I learned the rules very well but I could have added better details and do better rendering

Feedback: Although the rendering was good and I really liked the expert session and I learned lots of techniques but the angle was alittle bit distorted and the proportions were not accurate.

Week 10 reflection

This week was very interesting and fruitful as the rendering techniques introduced in it were so beneficial and also the on campus exercise was so fun and I developed my perspective skills.

Week 11 Assignment description

Grading criteria

Exercise 24:plan and elevation of your room

Feedback: the plan section is very well rendered and it shoes texture very good but the proportions arre not accurate at all and they could have been done better also the color choice wasn't very good

This was our first time to learn about the plan,elevation and section views they were very hard in the beginning as I couldn't really imagine the views but then by practicing, I managed to develop my skills.

Feedback: I didn't get a feedback on this assignment but from my personal view, the rendering is very good and it shows very good rendering but the perspective could have been better

Feedback: This assignment was interesting for me, it was the last assignment of the semester so I tried to do it as good as I could , the rendering and perspective were good andthe rendering showed very good texture

Week 12 reflection

This week's assignment were bonus assignments so I didnt get a feedback on them but I was very satisfied with the results and I realized that this course was very beneficial and taught me several things.

Final project the final project's idea was to tell a story from ant view perspective . My story was that there were a group of toys who were trying to ecscape from a house and then they got caught and then they escaped again.

I really liked creating a story and drawing it so I was very excited about it.The feedback was that the rendering was good but I could have focused more on perspectives
