Dover Street Market is a multi level fashion retail store created by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garcons. The shop is laid out in different floors with a different fashion label on each floor. Each floor had a shed as a sort of centre piece with the collections around it. the brands and fashions within the market are distinctive and unique and have a flair to the garmens which can be classed as show and statement pieces.
Kokon To Zai, meaning “East meets West” in Japanese, is a mix of designer clothes and interior design pieces, but what makes it stand out is the outrageous styling. The founders, Macedonian design duo Marjan Pejoski and Sasha Bezovski, certainly know how to put on a show and sell their own label, alongside British designers such as, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Kokon To Zai is aimed at the more wealthy, wacky and eccentric customer. It’s age of clientele ranges from 30+.
