Integrated Engineering

Based at Blackfriars Campus

Our range of Integrated Engineering degrees will see you develop the hands-on experience you need to make your impact as an engineer, all whilst developing the specialist and multi-faceted knowledge and skills required to thrive in your future career.

By choosing one of our MEng or BEng Integrated degrees, you’ll also be making a choice that will enable you to integrate, synthesise, apply, and gain knowledge within engineering, along with an awareness of social and ethical responsibilities. Sustainable thinking has been woven through all our degrees as standard!

Each module will see you work directly with our industry and community partners, led by our expert academics, on real-world problems to find creative solutions to society’s challenges.

With our Integrated Engineering degrees, you aren’t locked into one field of engineering, you’ll become multi-faceted, employable, and agile to the needs of future employers and of our ever-changing world! You’ll study and work across the five pillars of engineering, becoming confident at using a range of different concepts and practices to meet whatever a challenge demands.

Importantly, our BEng and MEng degrees have been designed to meet the requirements of the Engineering Council Accreditation of Higher Education Programmes.

BSc (Hons)

Sustainable Built Environment

Based at Skylon Campus

You’ll learn to design, build, renew and reuse through sustainable thinking, build aesthetic and environmentally resourced materials in this breakthrough degree. You won’t just be thinking about the future, you’ll be building it too!

Our new Sustainable Built Environment degree is one of the first of its kind in the UK. Designed to prepare you for the sustainable design and engineering challenges of the future, this degree will provide you with the skills you need to make your impact.

Sustainability is woven throughout the degree as a central standpoint, included from Year 1 and in every year of study. You’ll get a solid understanding of sustainable development, practical experience through an industry placement, and how to apply your knowledge using stateof-the-art frameworks in this rapidly changing field.

Built using the same successful challenge-led approach as our Integrated Engineering degrees, you’ll gain the skills needed to make change happen across the construction lifecycle from culture to demolition and disposal – you’ll graduate well-equipped to start your career as a change agent of the built environment sector and a modern construction professional.

Get active - You won’t be surprised to hear we play host to a thriving sports culture here in Herefordshire. Getting around - If you don’t mind getting your steps in, then you can access much of Hereford on foot or bicycle. Beryl bikes are situated around every turn within the City centre and frequently run cost-effective offers on usage.

For journeys further afield, Hereford has great transport links so travelling by train or bus to get to where you need to is easy. We’re well located approximately an hour away from several major cities including Cardiff, Birmingham and Bristol, with direct train routes to many more.
