Acme-Hardesty To Distribute Solvay Fentamine Polyurethane Catalyst Line In North America Blue Bell, Pa – September 1, 2016 - Acme-Hardesty, a division of Jacob Stern & Sons, has been appointed by Solvay, a leading global supplier of amines, as the exclusive distributor of Solvay’s Fentamine polyurethane catalyst line in North America. The agreement makes Solvay polyurethane amine catalysts, produced in Zhangjiagang, China, available to the U.S. market. Amine catalysts are widely used in the production of polyurethane foam to control and balance the polyurethane reaction. They are primarily used for the blowing reaction in polyurethane foam formation, but also contribute to the gelling reaction in many cases.
