Grade 4

Dear Arabian Tahrs,

It has been my pleasure this year to watch you all blossom into the sincere, considerate and energetic students that you are today. Your enthusiasm and motivation have gone a long way in helping me to help you fulfil your own goals and aspirations.

I still remember with affection one of our first conversations at the beginning of Grade 4 all about the character traits of Arabian Tahrs and their ability to jump huge distances. You have certainly lived up to your namesake, leaping to impressive heights and showing resilience at every step of the way.

It is hard to choose a single highlight from all the wonderful things we have done together this year. From our Grade 4 Residential to our Founder’s Day Play, Class Assembly and our daily lessons, you have worked extremely hard to be the best version of yourselves possible. Your determination to develop the key learner profile attributes has shone through. You have become excellent communicators, using your voice in our units of inquiry to suggest ideas for positive change in the world. As caring individuals, you have learnt the importance of justice and equality and shown your open-minded spirit in response to some of the more challenging issues faced in our class novels. You can be proud of the way in which you have combined new ideas and information in different learning contexts to become ever more knowledgeable and creative as you progressed through the year.

I am extremely happy and grateful that I have had the opportunity to get to know each and every one of you and your individual personalities. I will miss the Arabian Tahrs of 2022 - 2023 but look forward to seeing you leap to new heights as you move to Grade 5 next year.

I wish you all the very best.

Mrs Leybourne
