Where are you from?
I am from Pakistan. I really enjoy our traditional and cultural dances and the rich history of my country. I like our dishes such as Biryani, Nihari and Karahi. The presentation I will be delivering today, will be about the dance, currency, culture, and food. I love everything about my country.

We are from China and every year we have multiple festivals and have a myriad of celebrations which embrace our cultures and have fun. Some foods that we all enjoy are Hot Pots, Dumplings, Noodles. We really love the vibrant cultures and communities which feels very welcoming.

The country I am from is India and I really love it because it has such a vibrant culture. The foods we eat for example are Rice with Daal, and for snacks we’ll have Samosas and one desert I enjoy is Gulab Jamun. We have festivals like Diwali and Holi which is the festival of colours.
Rainna Nwodo, Grade 6
I am from Nigeria, which is full of creativity and art. There are many different languages and religions. It’s a very diverse place filled with different people. We usually wear very vivid coloured clothes such as red, blue, orange, and green. The traditional foods which I enjoy are Jollof rice, which is rice and stew cook together which turns red and orange. We also have something called Puff-puffs on which you can drizzle honey, powdered sugar, or chocolate sauce. I love that everyone is very nice, and everyone says hello even if you don’t know them. It’s just very welcoming.
I am from Germany and one of the biggest cultural events is Oktoberfest where people get together and celebrate. We also celebrate Christmas and New Year’s. The Schnitzel is a very popular food in Germany, which everyone knows. I just love the nature and being in Germany, and the weather is also nice.
I am from Pakistan. Today, I'm wearing a Gharara which is kind of like pants, but they’re super frilly at the bottom and has a long shirt. My favorite thing about Pakistani culture is the food and the weddings. I also really like the passion and pride we have for our country. My favorite food would have to be Nihari, it’s a classic. The presentation I delivered about my culture included language, history, geography and information about weddings because I thought it would be super interesting to share.

What culture are you representing?
I am representing China today and I’m wearing traditional Chinese clothes which is called Hanfu. Personally, I love Chinese food, because it just fits for me and pretty much every other Chinese person and there is a big variety. One of my favourite foods must be roast duck, Beijing duck, it’s so good!

I am from India and I’m wearing a Kurta, which is blue and has slits down the side of it. It has embroidery and detailing all over the clothing. My favourite thing about Indian culture must be the festivals and the food. Mah rajma is one of my favourite dishes which are beans in rajma sauce. I will be presenting things about India’s culture, festivals, language, food and location.

I am representing South Korea and wearing traditional clothing in a simplified version. It’s called a Hanbok. My favourite thing is South Korea’s history and how the economy has developed over time. I will be discussing the history of Korea throughout the 20th century in my presentation today. I think my favourite food is Bulgogi.

I am from Lebanon and my favourite thing is the nature and the cuisine. Today, I’ll be talking about the different traditions, cultural dances, and cuisines in Lebanon.
