Dear my determined Desert Ants,
How lucky am I to have had such a wonderful class in my first year at NLCS Dubai! You have brought cheekiness and laughter to our classroom every single day, along with your determination to learn and be challenged. Every one of you has blossomed in your own unique way since the first day of stepping into Grade 2 and I couldn’t be prouder to have been your teacher. I especially want to say thank you to…
Prem – For always being so polite to everyone around you. You are such a kind and caring boy and this is such a wonderful attribute to have.
Rajveer – For being a super inquirer. You are always so eager to learn and find out more.
I am sure you are going to thrive as you move through lower school.
Brian – For your big friendly smile! You never fail to make me laugh with your cheeky nature and stories that you like to tell.
Mazen – For your cheekiness and great sense of humour. You always manage to put a smile on my face and the others around you.
Shrey – For your determination to be challenged. Your maths skills have truly wowed me this year and I am excited to hear how you flourish even more in this area.
Valeh – For your kind and caring nature. You are always looking out for your friends and I know your friendship is valued so much by others.
Alessia – For your principled behaviour. I can always look to you as a great model for others in the class. Your creativity has amazed me too!
Shaurya – For your exceptional scientific knowledge and persistence in your work. You never fail to give up on things, even when you may find them challenging.
Sua – For your exceptional manners. I will miss being greeted by you very morning as you walk into the class! You really do have a heart of gold.
Isabel - For your laughter that fills most of our lessons! You truly brighten up everyone’s day in our classroom, including mine!
Antalya – For your strong will power and fun nature. You always make me laugh and have shown yourself to be a very principled learner.
Armin – For your kind and caring nature. You are a very popular member of our class and I know everyone feels lucky to call you their friend.
Hongcheng – For your funny nature that always makes me smile. You have great determination, and I am excited to hear how you grow even further in lower school.
Ismail – For your super perseverance that you’ve shown since joining our class. You try your best and never give up.



Jihan – For your caring and principled behaviour. You’re such kind person and this is a quality that I believe is so important, never change.
Ivanna – For always telling me stories, no matter the time of day! I will miss hearing about your goldfish and the fun you get up to at the weekends. You are also a very kind and caring friend.
Khaled – For your excellent sense of humour and bubbly personality. You have lots of jokes to tell and always make myself and your friends smile.
Kian – For your exceptional maths knowledge and never being afraid to challenge me. I may have been your teacher but I have also learnt so much from you!
Lea - For your helpful and friendly nature. You are always there to help me tidy and I know you care very deeply about your friendships; a great quality to have.
Lingrui – For your cheeky smile and quiet nature. You are a fantastic role model to everyone in the classroom and the excellent presentation of your work always amazes me.
Lyla – For wowing me with your determination to succeed in all the different sporting races that you take part in. Your determination should be admired, and I have been so proud to hear of your amazing talents.
Now you have completed your first year in lower school and you are about to embark on your new adventure into Grade 3. Just remember; keep shining, keep being determined but most importantly, keep being YOU
