At the beginning of the year the class was shy, They came with targets to reach for the sky, First thing’s first they immersed ourselves in art, Our exhibition got us off to a brilliant start! Whilst exploring art we visited Jam Jar, The trip was creative and we they were all super stars, Black Box theatre in the dark and light shows galore, The Tortoise class were ready to learn more. Next term arrived and we explored settlements and place, Perimeter and shape work meant we looked at edges, vertices and face. It was time for the Winter party time, There was glitter and dancing until the 3.20 chime. 2023 brought new learning and fun, Especially sports day with a fast-paced run. Ice lollies were popular as well as the house points, Mrs Collins trying high jump nearly broke all her joints!

Structures and buildings were spotted on the bus, We arrived back at school with more knowledge and no fuss, The double decker bus meant we had a good view, Mr Parry disappeared looking for the SBAG that flew. Now to the highlight of the year, We all had a wonderful cheer, The sleepover that filled the Tortoise class with joy, With Mr James in charge of the boys, We first visited Aventura and climbed the ropes, There was no reason to mope. Back at school we had lots of fun and games, “In bed by 9!” Mrs Collins claimed, The bonfire sparks and burned in the night, Then it was time to turn off the lights. What a wonderful year it has been, Good luck in the future and remember to always be a team!
