and Living Things

Our living things visitors

The students were so excited by their inquiry into ‘Living things’! We had budding marine biologists, paleontologists and zoologists emerging from the fold as they began sharing their favourite animals. The students were able to transfer their understanding of the characteristics of living and non-living things to their own personal experience with siblings, pets and plants.
It was clear how excited they the students were to educate their peers when siblings or pet came to visit their class. This was culminated in a visit from ‘Posh Paws’, where the students exhibited their understanding of caring for animals as they gently patted everything from mice and chicks to poodles and snakes!
