My article for this Fluff magazine, in essence, will be brief. Governors from various states still have rigid mandates in place regarding gatherings due to Covid, which means I do not have many winnings to post. However, with that being said, I was able to attend the Summer Show on the Tennessee River held in Florence, Alabama on July 25, 2020. It was a single evening show with a very good turnout. I would like to congratulate Evan Daniels on his Best of Breed win with his Agouti Sr. Doe (pictured); breeder is Gayle Beireau. With all the heat, I was surprised to see our breed with some coat. Speaking of heat, it has definitely been a hot summer this year. I have my fans going and the sprinkler on the barn at the ready when temps get in the upper 90s. The heat index has been anywhere from 102-115. If your bunnies are getting too hot, throw a frozen water bottle in with them to get them to cool down if you do not have access to fans or air conditioning.

As always, make sure they are not in direct sunlight as it doesn’t take long for a heat stroke to happen. I was looking forward to the upcoming ARBA convention in October. As everyone knows, it has been cancelled. This would have been my first convention that I would not have to be in a rush to get back home as I’m now retired. On the bright side, I hope things still progress and will be able to attend Jersey Wooly Nationals that has been rescheduled for November. As I stated in the beginning, my article is brief and in ending, if you have any questions or shout-outs, I can be reached via email at (tntscountrycritters@hotmail. com) or via messenger on Facebook.
