Hello District 5! Hope you are having a good summer. We have had an unusual rainy and cooler July and start to August than we are used to in my area. Love it!
We have a few shows coming up in our district or close by for Sept. Labor Day kicks off Sept. 5th with Southeastern Illinois RBA at Sumner, Illinois.
I was able to attend a few shows in June. I traveled to Indiana, Tennessee and Georgia to show. It was so nice to get back out there and see my friends and make some new ones. All 3 shows had a good turnout for Woolies! Not sure exact numbers but I believe Manchester, Tn had around 30, Danville, Indiana 70 and Carrolton, Ga 50. We did well at all 3 shows but Carrolton, Ga was especially exciting! My broken buck, Mo Bunnies Domino came home with 3 Best of Breeds and 2 Reserve in Shows! It’s so exciting when Woolies do well on the BIS table!
Sept. 12 Crawford County Wild Hares at Marengo, Indiana Sept. 19 & 20 Phelps County & Mid Mo Quad Show at Sedalia, Mo. Covid 19 and RHD have caused all shows to make new rules and take precautions against these deadly virusus. Most shows are requiring masks be worn. Some states require health certificates for out of state animals. Please check before you go to see what new rules are in place. I hope to see all of you soon! Let’s get out there and have some fun!
