1. Put Translation from Excel to Database From the Excel file, enter your translation into the last column, which is called “TextData (New Language)”. • Enter the translation for every row. If you do not want to translate some keywords, delete those rows. Otherwise, it will show up as blank in your store front. • By default, the words that you do not translate will use English as a fallback language. Please refer to “Base language for undefined keyword” option in the Quick Start guide for more information. In Admin website, add a new language (called culture in Admin website). Please see the “Language” topic in User Manual for more details. Write down the Culture ID of the new culture that you just added.

1. Back up your Excel file. 2. In the Excel file, delete “TextData (English)” and “Path” columns (column B & D in the original file). 3. Add a column called “CultureID” as the second column from the left as shown below. 4. Copy the Culture ID that you have written down in step #0 into every row in the Excel file.

5. Select the first four columns (A, B, C, D) and drag to select every row with data (which are hundreds of rows).

6. Select “Edit” “Copy” from Excel menu bar to copy data to clipboard. 7. Back up your database. 8. If you are using MS Access, open the database file (mdb) with MS Access program. 9. Open the database table “LanguageText”.

10. Select the last row (by clicking at the arrow/star symbol on the left-most column).

11. Select “Edit” “Paste” from MS Access menu. Click “Yes” for the confirmation pop-up dialog box. 12. For SQL Server 2005 database, you will need to use a GUI tool called SQL Server Management Studio. Then, copy the language data to LanguageText database table similarly to the steps #9 to #11.
