ICONS VOL.4 (Vixen)
I popped in this decorated DVD into my PS3 to be greeted by epic music signaling a party about to start. This presented the necessary DVD menus that permit the accessibility of all the features. The Vixen brand shines with the models they showcase and you can only guess how excited I was to see a cast containing the likes of Ana Foxxx and Riley Steele. The other two performers add to the prestige of the brand with Lela Star, another name I’m familiar with, and topping it off with a tart that is fresh to me named Skye Blue. One look at the box art and the realization of classy art should set in. Riley’s glowing pose belongs on the cover of a mainstream magazine but it thankfully has found its way here on the cover of the appropriately titled “Icons” collection by Vixen instead.
Lela Star’s scene starts off with the typically bored trophy wife tryst but in reality, it is a match-up of two established performers with Markus Dupree stepping in as the stud for that scene. Lela’s presence makes love to the very beach she is walking on during her opening sequence. All this leads up to her scene that has a creamy fi nish of her pussy splashed with Markus’ cum.
The next chapter on this DVD is Riley Steele opposite another icon in the male talent spectrum; Johnny Sins. A bubbly pop song spins as intricate imagery of Riley bathing herself goes by the screen. She’s a busy woman as you’ll hear her describe during a phone conversation with her friend. As soon as she implies this a brief fl ashback with her having sex with Johnny Sins fl ies by the screen with her voice over guiding it. Riley’s scene on this DVD is a tumbling epic as Icons volume 4 simmers into the next chapter with Skye Blue.
I enjoy seeing a newer face before the truly iconic Ana Foxxx scene cued to come on in the next chapter. It adds great pacing with a balanced cast if you watch the scenes in order. This all blends into a 2 hour and 34 minute run of great scenes. Even the directors in this collection play well off each other with these vignettes here in Icons Volume 4. Three scenes are directed by Laurent Sky while Julia Grandi directed the Sky Blue scene. You can consider Julia’s work to be the European branch of the brand if the exotic locales weren’t apparent enough. All in all this DVD is a healthy look into one of porn’s classiest brands.
SUGAR BABY DIARIES 2: BEACH BABES (Blazed Media)
I’m here with a sequel to Sugar Baby Diaries from Blazed Media and Jayson Knight Productions. I reviewed the fi rst outing of this budding POV BJ franchise in a past issue and I’d be lying if I didn’t say that POV isn’t really my thing. But sometimes it is good to step out of your porn bubble a bit and enjoy the craft from a diff erent perspective. With this newfound angle, I see hot South Florida cuties being wooed by a horny Sugar Daddy aiming to get his cock sucked. The theme isn’t too outlandish compared to other fetishes out there but it is indeed a niche market.
POV fans are extremely loyal to their tastes and Jayson Knight, the owner, and director at Fuzzy Peach Productions tapped into this. Having a healthy update of clips to his various content platforms Jayson has also supplemented his brand with collected DVD releases under the Blazed Media branch. Sugar Baby Diaries 2: Beach Babes follows the franchise moniker with cuties writing in their diaries about how spoiled they are. But this time Miami’s beach environments can be considered an unspoken cast member next to the babes giving blowjobs in hotels. Jayson did a bit of traveling to fetch the hottest hunnies for this fun-fi lled fellatio feature.
I liked Blazed DVDs a lot, I really do. They off er a straight forward approach to content targeted towards specifi c fan bases. Even if it isn’t your thing the DVDs make the investigating easy for potential fans. We should be grateful that companies still even release products on DVDs, to begin with! The care comes through with the animated menus and pumping music behind all of that to show this as a serious contender among the other porn networks. Even if you are just onboard for the POV fetish you’re taken care of as a fan of Jayson Knight’s releases. The scenes are short ranging from fi fteen to twenty minutes but you’ll get six of them. Marvelous models like Dana Wolf and Vienna Black compliments the stacked cast of cuties. I watched the chapters individually so I didn’t get a total run time length of the DVD. It isn’t listed on the actual box anywhere either.
Currently, I’d recommend you get this DVD rather than Video On Demand on somewhere like the Adult DVD Empire website. Since they have it incorrectly labeled as something else (as of this writing). Buy direct from Jayson Knight or Blazed Media if you can. It is better to seek out a copy for yourself to have on your shelf directly from the content creators. Streaming isn’t always everything and you can directly support Jayson Knight here locally in Central Florida by buying his DVDs.
PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT By Moutasem Seyam BROOKE HAZE
Brooke Haze is a starlet that I’ve been wanting to write about for quite some time. Finally, I get the chance to share this promising performer with the readers of NightMoves Magazine. I brought up a brief talk we had on James Bartholet’s call-in talk show that brought back some memories.
” I do remember that. We were on the air with James and his show.”
Brooke Haze then recalls how it was like when she fi rst started out in this business.
“You know I must admit I was very nervous when I went to LA for the very fi rst time. I had a schedule to keep and I had a lot of things I had to learn how to do. Going on set and having your hair and makeup done. Getting to learn to take things like shoes and outfi ts for pick from was something I don’t think anyone is prepared for. I was very lucky to work with Jim Powers many times when I started in the industry. He is such a wonderful man and an amazing director.”
I did not have a lot of people off er me any advice when I was starting and it is hard when I was just beginning. Sometimes people listen, sometimes they don’t but that does not keep me from trying to be a good person...”
Thanks to a newfound world of fetishes, labels, and genres compartmentalization is necessary to market porn properly. So I had to get Brooke’s opinion on being labeled a “spinner” or “petite”. Brooke approached this with an open mind.
“I love being called a spinner. I think that the word spinner is a very positive way to look at the girls that are very small like me. I guess you can call us petite. I have always been petite and I think that when porn off ers fans the chance to see small girls like me to have their own group to be affi liated with, it is a good thing.”
Moving into the future we realize that the internet is a part of our daily lives. For better or for worse this new medium is required to properly market oneself as an adult entertainer. Brooke shares her thoughts on being on social media.
“It is getting harder and harder to be on social media. Can you believe that Twitter deleted my account again! For the third time. That got me really upset. I worked very hard to build my brand and to show the fans who Brooke Haze is. It was not easy. I feel like I lost so much when they deleted my account. I guess what I would fi rst want to say to the other performers is to be careful with how you talk to your fans and post shit on social media.”
“I think it is not right that they do this to porn stars and people in the industry. We should be allowed to be on any social media website. We are just trying to do what over businesses and jobs do.”
