To say the past 45 days have been difficult would be a gross understatement. When you make 100% of your living by selling ads and producing a magazine … you know things are extremely tough. We have been getting by with the help of our morning radio program on WTAN (106.1FM and 1340AM). The show has kept us from going crazy as we read articles, watch newscasts and prepare for each day’s show.

I will admit the radio and FaceBook live shows have been entertaining, educational and fun BUT we pay for the airtime and it is costing us every day we are on the air. Our numbers are growing and we are starting to obtain more and more listeners but if we don’t start selling ads we will be in trouble.

Getting back to NightMoves … we are hoping that Tampa Bay starts easing up on a few regulations and maybe, just maybe, we can get a few restaurants, video stores and clubs opened. We may NEVER get back to the way things were and I am worried that the authorities will use the virus to enact measures that will deeply hurt our industry.

Will cities let clubs with kitchens open as restaurants? … Will they enforce a six foot rule? … Will they allow any type of contact (lap dances?) … Will they make clubs install some type of plexiglass barrier between patrons and dancers? … all these questions and more need to be answered.

We all know that cities get tougher anytime we get a Super Bowl and we are scheduled to host the game this upcoming February. I hope I am wrong but I believe Tampa, Clearwater & St. Petersburg will all use the Corona Virus as an excuse to hurt all adult businesses. I think we (as an united industry) need to be prepared and maybe talk to Luke Lirot and other lawyers to see if we have any legal way to protect the industry.

I am hoping that we will be able to put out a June issue as clubs and video stores should be open … at least on a limited basis. We will need to let people know that fact and NightMoves will be here both in print and online. Please feel free to comment on things on our FaceBook page or our website. This is a time to forget about completion and united as an industry!
