EDHA resumes, adopts 4th quarter calender
By KEN ABU BENIN CITY – Edo State House of Assembly yesterday resumed plenary sitting for the fourth quarter, third session of the fifth Assembly with the adoption of its Business Calendar for the quarter. Presenting the Business Calendar for consideration and adoption by the House, the Majority Leader and Chairman, House Committee on Rules, Business and Government House, Hon. Philip Shaibu stated that the House will sit for a period of 24 days during the fourth quarter commencing from April
28 to May 30, 2014. He noted that after the completion of the fourth quarter, the House would have sat for a total period of 185 days, including 50 days in the first quarter, 60 days in the second quarter, 51 days in the third quarter and 24 days in the fourth quarter, thereby exceeding the mandatory 181 sitting days stipulated by law for any Legislative House in the country.
