As National Confab Ends. . .
Mixed Reactions Trail Resolutions By OSAZUA IVBAZE/RICHARD IMHOAGENE
W
HILE some Nigerians are worried that the resolutions arising from the just concluded National Confab, would, like previous ones, eventually slither into the dustbin of history, others are however encouraged by the fact that the Conference, which brought together Nigerians from diverse backgrounds to deliberate on national issues for five months, has gone a long way to dissipate suspicions and centrifugal sentiments that have been conspiring to confer credibility on US prediction of a breakup of the country in 2015. See details on pg.3.
“Although a lot of issues may have been addressed and recommendations made, many expressed disappointment in the fact that chiefly, it was a case of back to sender. The problems which the President laid on the feet of the conference have been pushed back to him.”
