Deputy Principals Message Welcome back to what is always an extremely busy Term 4. The improved weather has certainly lifted everyone’s spirits as has the two weeks break. Hopefully all students are refreshed and ready to approach all classes with renewed motivation and produce their greatest efforts. Last term Ms Sullivan and I had the pleasure of interviewing students for senior scholarships. The quality of the applicants in terms of their aspirations, maturity, contribution to the community and academic success was outstanding and I would like to congratulate the students involved in the process on the way they presented themselves. It is always pleasing as a staff member or when in the public to see our students display those values that we endeavour to instil in them of honesty, integrity, responsibility and compassion.

This is the final week of Year 12 classes. On Thursday we shall celebrate their last official day of school and reflect on their contribution to the Bayview community at the Valedictory Church Service and dinner. We look forward to this very special day and wish them the best in their studies in preparation for the upcoming examinations. With the Year 12 students leaving us we now begin to look at our potential leaders for 2016. I would encourage all Year 11 students to seriously consider applying for the position of School Leader or House Captain. It is an opportunity for them to develop leadership and give back to the school community. The Year 8 students will also have the opportunity to apply for Middle school leadership over the following weeks. This is an exciting opportunity for them to perhaps make a difference in the school and provide a link between the middle school and staff, while working closely with the senior school leaders.
Term 4 is a time when students need to perform at their best. Students need to be focused in class and should be thinking about "We would like to ask the Lord to look over structuring their study and revision timetable to enable them to and guide the Year 12 students utilise time effectively and achieve to their potential.
