METALMOUTH
Conceived, sculpted in clay, molded in silicone, and polished over the span of a semester, this project is yet another child of the minds of mine and my frequent collaborator Leo Van Munching. Heavy, cumbersome, and clanky, they made their debut as part of his outfit line.

I then molds into, which and cast
I began with a series of sketches at the conception of the idea. I then created a sketch model, then sculpted the final design out of polymer clay.
created four two-part silicone for the wax to be injected which was sent to the foundry cast in bronze.
PORTRAIT OF BODILY DEFENSES
A portrait of self-perception thought animals.Each handmade charm represents different a aspect of my social strengths and shortcomings through an image of an animal part.
This piece features handmade, fully soldered chains, five unique charms (one of which features poseable joints), five rings, and a clasped bracelet.

The copper on the rings and bracelet was heattreated to bring forth the natural colors and patterns from within the metal.
WAKING Ring
WAKING NIGHTMARE Ring
Architectural yet organic, this form is meant to invoke a sense of delapidated antiquity and tendrilous veins. An exploration in hollow-forming and a gift for a friend.

Borne from a from a sfi-fi fantasy planned how rolled, drilled, soldering.
After the ring was fully constructed, treated with liver of sulphur. To accentuate copper wire accents on the face of polished the front to a gradient effect.
a sketch loosely based on a design fantasy video game, I carefully how my silver sheets would be cut, drilled, scored, and bent to prepare for constructed, it was accentuate the of the ring, I effect.
HOME Decorative Bowls
An explorative exercise in bowl-making and painting, two activities dictated by balancing pushing and pulling. Making this way makes me feel at home.
A series of four bowls carefully turned and painted along the natural grain patterns brought forth by the turning process.

FLAME TONGUE Shoes
Inspiried by historical pirate boots and the fantastic organic world, this design combines a hand-made upper and 3D modeled sole and heel designs.
Featured both hand-cut and laser cut pieces, patterned in part by hand and using Adobe Illustrator.

This shoe features two heel designs concieved about a year apart.
Eating is an inherently visceral act, yet at times it can be so painful and difficult that, at times, it may be easier not to eat at all.
A HOMELY DISCOMFORT
It is to be worn around the user’s neck, over the shoulders, holding the arms close to the chest.

Created as part of a collaborative meal event, this piece ridicules the fine dining manners by forcing the user to move their entire upper body to eat.
CURIOSO Belt Buckle
After about a years worth of development and deliberation, this playful cobra-style buckle sees its first prototype. Designed for production.

to be cast in bronze.
Modeled in SolidWorks,
Pull on its ears to release the buckle, and push it back in to lock its teeth in place.
ARTIFACT II
An exercise in using a variety of shop tools to create a functionless, scultpural object.

Made using scraps carefully to fit together, then had a mid-lap joint and temporarily glued back together to be offset-turned.

LOST IN AMBIGUITY Poncho
AMBIGUITY
An exploration on ambiguity within gender and form, this unique design was created to transform between two forms: poncho and bag.
This design went through many iterations and derives inspiration from high fashion and drag queen apparel and style.
