01| NAU MUSIC SCHOOL
The NAU Music School is an exceptional example of adaptive reuse done right. Its ultimate goal is to break through traditional barriers, fusing different parts into a cohesive whole, and establishing itself as the world’s premier location for Broadway plays on tour. Our concept revolved around creating an indescribable atmosphere- a story interwoven with inventive and inspiring elements. Fundamentally, our design philosophy was born out of the deep idea of Frisson, which can be commonly referred to as the tingling feeling in one’s spine, is a feeling that permeates every aspect of our project.

The Scottdale Art Institute boasts an architecturally impressive design that utilizes a grid system and employs 20’ and 40’ measurements to construct classrooms and art installation spaces. As a valuable resource for the Scottsdale community, this after-school program for K-12 students fills a gap in the local art scene.

Project Statement|
The Young Professional’s apartment offers two styles of living spaces: a two-story mezzanine apartment for home-working professionals and a one-story apartment for those working remote. Both apartments feature a conversation pit, a sunken seating area that promotes social interaction and has a positive impact on mental health. The conversation pit has been a popular desig n element since the 1950s, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere for gatherings. Its enduring appeal demonstrates its ability to enhance modern living conditions.
