SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Financial Aid Administrator maintains accurate financial aid records and documentation. Responsible for all financial aid operations. Essential Functions: Maintains Title VI awarding, reporting, and compliance with the Department of Education (NICC Program Participation Agreement) Awards, reports, and complies with the American Indian College Fund and Tribal Higher Education Office funding. Manage and utilize Empower System for all reporting. Train and coach student and staff on financial aid process and procedures Attend meetings and communicate appropriate student data with team members. Oversee and generate all Federal Work Study reports. Participate in student recruiting activities Ensure accurate and timely completion of student files Compile reports for college, state and federal departments/agencies as needed Maintain compliance with rules, regulations, and guidelines set by the college and other governing bodies

Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of NICC policies and activities.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff, volunteers, clients, and others.
Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes.
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and to meet critical deadlines.
