Niagara’s school counseling program is well-suited for individuals currently working in the field of education, either as educators or as other school personnel who may already possess a bachelor’s degree in any program or major.

A master’s of science in school counseling meets the Professional Teacher Education Certification requirements for New York state for initially certified teachers.

The school counseling program is offered in both full-time (two years) and part-time formats, providing students with the flexibility to complete the program at their own pace.

This program follows a hybrid approach, with a combination of face-to-face and online classes offered in the evenings. This format takes into consideration the needs of students who have a traditional daily work schedule.
