Niagara University’s master’s degree program in literacy instruction is aligned to the most current theory and practice in literacy education. The program is designed to develop highly qualified literacy educators, who can guide students from birth through grade 12, to achieve excellence in literacy. Curriculum
This 37-credit hour program emphasizes the integration of reading and writing throughout the birth to 12 curriculum, with a unique focus on literacy learning at different grade levels and stages of development. Students gain professional skills and knowledge for both childhood and adolescent literacy development through course content and professional experiences.
