Nextview started in 2009 as a consulting firm, helping companies implement userfriendly and innovative IT solutions. In the last decade we have been growing fast, transforming ourselves on the go. This has not gone unnoticed, as we’ve been recognized with several awards throughout the years.

The Communication on Progress (CoP) is an annual disclosure to stakeholders on progress made in implementing the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anticorruption, and in supporting broader development goals.

Environment

We research environmentally friendly options for everything we do or need, aim for a 100% electric vehicle pool in 2025, and pledged to be net-zero for CO2 by that very same year. While working from home over the past few years, we created a Virtual Office policy to keep up environmentally friendly practices while working at home. In 2022 we have implemented a food policy. All catered Nextview events are 100% vegetarian (and or vegan).

Nextview made strong progress on its carbon ambition and remains on track to reach net-zero in 2025

Plastic Whale Maas Cleanup

We are a founding partners of Maas Cleanup, a business collaboration to solve the litter problem, now petitioning to give the Maas a legal status.

Nextview is also a partner, board member, and impact investor of Plastic whale, which creates value out of plastic waste found in the Dutch canals.

We’re an active supporter of Plastic Whale. Plastic Whale is an organisation fighting for plastic-free waters. Its goal to raise societal awareness about the problem and come up with solutions for what has become a planetary plastic soup.

Maas Cleanup was founded in 2019 and cleaned the river of more than 300.000 kg of waste with over 15.000 volunteers. It has grown to one of the most significant cleanup movements.

01 Creating the context

Understand current and design future state

First, we investigate the origin of the problem. If a client asks for technology, we won’t reply with a tool. Instead, we pose a question: “What do you want to achieve?” We conduct interviews and organize workshops, involving people from different business units and levels to create shared responsibility. All stakeholders get to appreciate the others’ roles, all see how these interlink to create valuable results. The outcome of our investigation is used to define the future way of working: a simplified licensing and sales process. We validate priorities in order to define a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and put non-prioritized items on a roadmap.
