GOT GAY-TENTION DEFICIT DISORDER?

From the hot topics to the hot messes, here is what you may have missed last week.

BRITNEY IN BED Jimmy Kimmel loves a good prank. Remember when Rihanna woke him up in the middle of the night with a sexy dance? Well this time, it was Britney’s turn when she showed up with a bevy of sexy, half naked male dancers in Kimmel’s boudoir. Watch the hilarious video on nextmagazine.com.

GET BETTER SOON, BIANCA! One of our favorite queens, Bianca del Rio, posted a heartbreaking note today on her Instragram. Her post read, “Just wanted to let everyone know that this week, I am undergoing vocal surgery. I will be out of commission for a few weeks. 12 AUGUST 10, 2016

Sadly, I had to cancel several upcoming events,(which I never do).” Get better soon, Bianca!

GAY LEADING MAN During an interview with GQ Style, Jared Leto talked about the conservative business Hollywood still is today. “I think a gay leading man would have the same opportunities as a straight leading man? I don’t think that,” he said. “Not for a single second. I don’t know if that’s offensive or not, but that’s my thought right now. It shouldn’t be that way. I don’t think you’ll have as many opportunities.”

CLOSET CASE In her new book, The Girl with

the Lower Back Tattoo, Amy Schumer talks about dating a closeted gay man and how it adversely affected her. “I recently learned that a guy I’d been in love with and had dated in the past was gay,” she writes. “Even though it had been a while since we had dated, it still broke my heart when he came out to me. And it made me begin to question myself. This person who made me feel beautiful and sexy for so long was attracted to men.”

NIGHTLIFE

Lady Bunny’s

WIGSTOCK

The Cruise

PREPARES TO SET SAIL BY ALEX KACALA

14 AUGUST 10, 2016

L

ady Bunny’s Wigstock: The Cruise will set sail on its’ second voyage on Sunday, August 21 from Pier 40 on the West Side Hwy. The party was inspired by the outrageous concert and festival Bunny co-founded in 1984 that ran for twenty years. She will bring her twisted brand of comedy to the two-hour show along with co-host Linda Simpson. We had the chance to ask Bunny some questions - from infectious diseases to why she is bringing back the cruise - our hilarious Q and A reminds us why we love her and why we just have to get on board August 21. First off, how is that case of jumping scabies I gave you last time we hung out? Raging with all the succulent juices of summer! They just called and asked if they could feature my apartment on Million Bedbug Listing. I’ve also got an upcoming role on America’s Deadliest Snatch! You are doing another Wigstock: The Cruise. Why? Because last year’s cruise was a riot and we would be thrilled to have the exact same people again this year. Much to our surprise, it all went without a hitch. Except for when Sweetie wore stiletto heels and punched a hole in the hull of the ship! The captain of the ship told me that sharks are repelled by loud, screechy noises. So to keep us safe, John Kelly will be singing live as Joni Mitchell on deck. Seriously, this boat has a crew of over 500 people. That’s almost as big a crew as RuPaul needs to make her look like a woman! For the audience’s safety, we have positioned queens with padded tits and asses to use as flotation devices. This is all still fairly new to me. I don’t normally perform on boats--except for that time I borrow Peppermint’s shoes. I’ve noticed that as larger clubs have closed, there’s more emphasis on festivals and one-off events like gay pride, circuit parties or Drag Race events. We used to go out to five clubs in one night, dressed to the nines. Now there aren’t five clubs to go to! But if you get your look together, reserve the date and buy a ticket for something, then you’re invested in having a good time and are more likely to. And with a world full of bombings and shootings, we could all use a wigged out, light-hearted party right about now. What can people expect from it? We thought that people might have forgotten about Wigstock since we took a 20 year break, but they all showed up last year in fantastic (or merely insane) costumes. Seeing performances by Wigstock regulars and hearing club classics woven in by two great DJs, Johnny Dynell and Ed Bailey, made the cruise feel like a family reunion to several generations of clubbers. When it was an outdoor festival, Wigstock was often called a hipper version of Pride. We’re not ready to start up

WHAT’SNEXT Wigstock the outdoor festival again, but this cruise enables us to get our feet wet by doing smaller events. And I’m so glad many of the performers from Wigstock’s glory days are still with us and knocking them dead. Connie Fleming and Glamamore date back to the Boybar, Tabboo!, Ebony Jett, Linda Simpson Dueling Bankheads and John Kelly are from the Pyramid Club from which Wigstock sprang, and the sarcastic and hateful Linda Simpson has taken a break from her “hectic” “career” calling bingo to co-host the show with me! It seems really really, really gay. Or is it queer? Or is it LGBTQAI? It is so gay and so gender queer that it had three sex changes before it even hit puberty. It’s gonna be like the Ark--two L’s, two Gs, two Bs, etc. Last year I think I saw two chubby Ls eating BLTs in the ladies’ room. And I’m not gonna lie--it turned me on! What are you looking most forward to? I’m looking forward to seeing friends’ faces. Actual friends, not social media acquaintances. It’s summer and so many of us are living our lives behind screens. First Bowie and Prince died, then the toxic elections and Orlando shooting... I’m starting to see Facebook as a passport to death and despair for months. It’s fun to fool around online but liking friend’s posts can’t compare to physically hanging with friends, dancing and cheering on a show. But do bring your cameras because there is tons of eye candy with Manhattan’s skyline as a backdrop. And all that water makes us “girls” feel very fishy so prepare for antics! Or antiques, as they are known at my age. Do you know how to swim? Yes, can’t you tell from my swimmer’s build? Let’s put it this way - I doubt if my fat ass would sink. Is Trans-Jester coming back? It was hilarious. Yes, baby! For the whole month of September at Stonewall. People enjoyed that twisted show so much that I’m bringing it back Wednesday to Saturdays at 7:00 pm. Can you believe they are still leaving flowers for me outside the venue? What are your fitness and diet secrets? You misspelled fatness. I tried crystal meth but it just made me eat faster. And lastly, since I know you are an expert - I have an intense case of hemorrhoids right now - what do you suggest I do? Suicide is an option. Or you could just braid them so tightly that they fall off--the same thing you did with your testicles. N For tickets to Wigstock: The Cruise, visit gaypartycruise.com. AUGUST 10, 2016 15

ATHLETES

TO LOOK FOR BY STEPHAN HORBELT & DOMINIC PRESTON

The 2014 Sochi games saw half a dozen gay athletes compete, and Rio is guaranteed to trump that number.

16 AUGUST 10, 2016

WHAT’SNEXT MARIE-EVE NAULT Soccer The Canadian soccer defender plays for the women’s national soccer team. She was initially selected as an alternate, excluding her from the 18-woman squad. However, after two teammates were injured in the group stage, Nault was selected as a replacement. TOM BOSWORTH Race-Walk This UK athlete, 26, also came out late last month, only the second British track and field star to do so (after hurdler Robert Newton in ‘04). He’s said his fellow athletes have been supportive: “They soon realized there was nothing to be concerned about and all was perfectly normal.” TOM DALEY Diving Daley, 22—famously engaged to Hollywood screenwriter Dustin Lance Black last October—has qualified to compete in multiple events at this year’s Olympics. At London in 2012, he walked away with a bronze medal in the 10-meter platform. MAARTJE PAUMEN Field Hockey Dutch field hockey player, who plays as midfielder for Dutch club HC Den Bosch. She also plays for the Netherlands national team and she was part of the Dutch squad that became World Champions in 2006. She is openly lesbian. Paumen was selected as FIH Player of the Year in 2011 and 2012. ROBBIE MANSON Rowing This kiwi athlete, who has been out since ‘14, qualified for Rio when he and doubles partner Chris Harris won bronze at the World Rowing Championships in France. Rio will be Manson’s second Olympics. “I hope that my story can add something to what is already out there,” he says. MEGAN RAPINOE Soccer Despite tearing an ACL last December, this star of our women’s soccer team says her dreams of Rio are far from dead, insisting, “This blonde ain’t gone!” Time will tell whether Rapinoe finds herself on the team’s finalized roster. SAM SENDEL Trampoline When this 24-year-old came out in 2014, she set out to inspire other LGBT athletes, and has since worked with the Canadian Olympic Committee and other north-of-our-border organizations to increase gay-inclusive efforts. “I’m hoping it will help prevent the younger generations from feeling like they need to hide who they are,” she says. “That was a big issue for me. fter her sold-out run during Pride Week, Paige Turner and friends Sutton Lee Seymour and Jackie Cox are back with Make America Gay Again! The New York Times heralded the show as “a drag history lesson” before its return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre August 12 and August 26. “Every year we do a big pride show,” Turner told us over burgers and shakes at Five Napkin in Hell’s Kitchen. “And this year even before all the negative stuff happened, I wanted to do a show about gay history and represent people who have come before us, and represent how far we have come and how far we still have to go.” “Obviously there is so much material,” Turner said. “But we also focus on my friendship with the two other queens in the show, Sutton Lee Seymour and Jackie Cox. They are total triple threats with musical theatre backgrounds. They sing live and dance and are total pros. It’s campy but there are actually some really touching parts in the show as well.” This hilarious trip through history celebrates all things gay— with a little bit of politics and a whole lotta pride thrown in. Make America Gay Again! features numbers from Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mamma Mia!, South Park, The Producers, and more. “It makes audience feel good and nostalgic and we touch on honoring a certain queen that a lot of gay men love,” Turner said. “We renamed the title and added some more political stuff to it for this time around. There are a lot of parodies in the show and we do some old school pop tunes. I don’t necessarily do stuff that is really popular. I have a section on bottoming. There is a section for everyone in it!” Turner wants the new gay generation to understand our history. “Pride is being proud of who you are and being able to show your colors at all times as a gay man. But not forgetting those who came before us and who have paved the way.” “It’s very important for that crop of people who care who Larry Kramer was, because there is a big portion of gays who don’t care, who have never heard of him. To know that a lot of men died of AIDS because now people are popping 20 AUGUST 10, 2016

pills and it’s not even an issue nowadays. There are always a crop of people who know that or want to know that. So it’s good to remind the new crop of baby gays about things that are very important and have come before. It’s great to do that through art.” Orlando helped Turner realized her role as an artist in her community. “When Orlando happened, I asked what is my role as a drag queen who talks to a lot of people in the gay community? I had people writing and texting me that day, ‘You’re doing your show tonight still right? I am gonna come in. I really need a laugh. I really need to be in a bar. I need to feel safe and not scared.’ I then realized, ‘Oh. This is my duty as a drag queen.’ It’s to make people laugh. Making people feel no matter what shape, size or color they are, that they are included.” For tickets, visit spincyclenyc.com. N

#NEXTDECISION2016

FIVE QUESTIONS

L

WITH TOM D’ANGORA

eading up to the election, we will be featuring interviews and profiles of LGBT community members, asking what will be influencing their next decision in the voting booths on November 8. This week, we feature Tom D’Angora, LGBT Grassroots Coordinator for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

1 . How did you get involved? I was very active in her 2008 campaign as well. I went to seven states - all states she won. After that very close second place finish, I continued to work with the “Ready for Hillary” camp. I was always very ready for this. I came right back the day she announced. I was at headquarters in Brooklyn. It has been a longtime goal of mine to see her in the White House and I decided a long, long time ago if she was running - I would do everything I can to help her in any way I can.

2 . What does that work look like? For the first year of this campaign, I worked in national grassroots outreach. I have recently, in the last three months or so, have moved into LGBT outreach doing grassroots coordinating for the LGBT community. A typical day is a lot of meetings, a lot of outreach, going through lists. Keep building the base. Building the coalition. Everyone involved everyone on the ground. Building a grassroots movement. That is how you win. It has been really exciting to do it on the LGBT side because it is such an amazing moment in history for the LGBT community - for us to have a voice in a major election and I really hope we turn out in a very large way for Hillary. I want people to understand that the LGBT vote is a very, very big thing to have. That is one of my goals – is to turn out the LGBT vote for her in a huge way.

3 .

How does Hillary’s campaign interact with the LGBT community? I think it is safe to say we have the most LGBT inclusive campaign in history. We just came off of an amazing con-

vention that had a record 28 transgender delegates. That is so amazing to see. We saw Sarah McBride speak, the first transgender woman to speak at a convention. The inclusion of this campaign is so incredible. We had a presence at almost every single Pride this year. It is very important to the Secretary and all of us involved that we have a presence everywhere and are as inclusive as possible.

4 . Why are you not voting for Trump? (Laughs) Well, I do not think – well this has nothing to do with party politics. I do not think he is the kind of person that represents America’s values. I think the divisiveness is dangerous. I think his rhetoric is incredibly dangerous. I think that there is absolutely no place for the hate speech he spews in politics, or any other place – entertainment, real estate. It doesn’t matter. The way he speaks of people and the way he treats people I believe has no place anywhere in this great country.

5 . Why are you voting for Hillary? I am voting for Hillary because she has a proven record of being a fighter, a champion, and a doer. Her record speaks for itself. She is a progressive - but a progressive who gets things done. I don’t care who she was running against, I believe and have believed for a long time that Hillary will be one of the greatest presidents this country has ever seen. Hillary does best when she is in office. She was one of the most exquisite Senators the state of New York has ever had. What she did in seven short years is unprecedented. And again, as Secretary of State she did such an incredible job. What she has laid out for her first 100 days in the White House is just so incredible and ambitious and is going to do some much good and impact people’s lives in so many positive ways. I wouldn’t feel right with myself if I didn’t give everything I had to get a person like that elected. For more information on D’Angora, visit his website tomdangora.com. N AUGUST 10, 2016 21

HOROSCOPES FOR YOUR EX-BOYFRIEND BY TOPHER CUSUMANO

ARIES (Mar 21-April 19) The alignment of Saturn and Jupiter will make him more portentous than usual, which is saying something because he’s already the absolute worst. Aries are passionate about their interests, but that passion can quickly turn into the kind of holier than thou attitude we associate with men’s rights activists, anti-vaxxers, and Alex Trebek. Today he’s going to correct a server’s pronunciation of “bruschetta” while writing a lengthy Facebook post intended to explain birth control to women. Aries always satisfied your needs for a political debate or the perfect museum buddy, but there’s no use being with someone who wants to do all of the teaching and none of the learning. Trust me, you can do better than Aries. TAURUS (April 20-May 20) Getting a malevolent spirit to go toward the light is easier than winning a fight against the stubborn Taurus. He prefers long-term relationships over hookups because of his possessive nature, but he drives partners away with his inability to compromise on even the smallest issues. Today your Tau-rus ex will go see a superhero movie just so he can complain about how much they ruined it. Then he’ll text his new boyfriend sixty-two times in an hour, “just to check in.” Later, the filthy Taurus will try to find the source of that weird smell in his unkempt apartment, while arguing with his roommate about all the ways he thinks Bernie still has a shot at taking the White House. You appre-ciated your ex for being honest and trustworthy, but variety is the spice of life and your Taurus ex is just too set in his ways. Trust me, you can do better than Taurus. GEMINI (May 21-June 20) It’s a good thing you got away from Gemini when you did, because there’s not enough cannabis in the world to make his “art” bearable. His disdain for anything commercial means he goes out of his way to find the most annoying projects humanly possible, like miming, or learning to play the theremin. Today he’s going to make a list of foreign films he’d like to see, but will end up watching cartoons instead. Then he’ll buy a new adult coloring book because he claims they help him medi-ate, but really he’s just a man-child. It’s hard not to miss the belly-laughs or the kinky sex that Gemini brought to the table, but you don’t have time to play babysitter. Trust me, you can do better than Gemini. 22 AUGUST 10, 2016

COMMENTARY

N

eed help getting over a recent breakup, or just want to make sure he’s completely miserable with-out you? Feel better about that string of failed relationships by convincing yourself it was always the other person’s fault! The universe has all of the answers you need in these horoscopes for your ex-boyfriends. This shady psychic is ready to spill all the T, and in this case T stands for: Trust me, you can do better. Stay tuned for the rest of the zodiac calendar in next week's issue.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) You thought it was true love, but now there’s not enough sage in the world to clear the bad juju that your Cancer ex left behind. I can sum up his personality in one sentence: Lindsay Lohan is a Can-cer. The whole relationship makes sense now, doesn’t it? Today your ex will have his feelings hurt when the bartender he has a crush on forgets his usual drink. Devastated, he’ll lock himself in the only bathroom stall with a door to snapchat videos of himself crying, much to the chagrin of any-one hoping to take a shit. Sure, Cancer’s intensity might’ve felt romantic at first, but this emotional rollercoaster doesn’t have seat belts, so it’s good you got off when you did. Trust me, you can do better than Cancer. LEO (July 23-Aug 22) Leo might think he’s king of the jungle, but his hyper-dominant personality would be more fun with a safety word. He probably treated you more like an accessory than a partner, and his “helpful suggestions” about how you should live your life got old real fast. Today he’ll go to the gym, which has more to do with his love of reflective surfaces and jerking off in locker rooms than it does fit-ness. Later, your needlessly controlling Leo ex will freak out on an Uber driver for making him late, despite the fact that the Uber driver didn’t invent rush-hour. Tonight in bed, he’ll comment on his new boyfriend’s recent weight gain, then he’ll ask him for a rim job. You’re a one-man kinda guy, but dating a Leo is always a threesome between you, him, and his ego. Trust me, you can do better than Leo. VIRGO (Aug 23-Sept 21) Not even the demigod Adonis could live up to Virgo’s perfectionist standards. Your Virgo ex makes the perfect power bottom, ‘cause there’s always a stick up his ass. Today he’ll pass up an empty seat on the subway due to his fear of wrinkled clothing. At dinner tonight, the nitpicky Virgo will have the bartender remake his cocktail four times. This will naturally offend the bartender, see-ing as your dickhead ex will have ordered a vodka tonic. Virgo will consider masturbating before bed, but the idea of staining his sheets makes him instantly flaccid. On the surface, it seemed like Virgo was the total package, but before long you found out that glossy exterior was hiding a bundle of nerves. Trust me, you can do better than Virgo. SILENT NO MORE Emerging rap artist Kamau Kenyatte’s journey continues to unfold - and we are here to listen. BY ALEXANDER KACALA

24 AUGUST 10, 2016

“Authentic individuality reigns supreme. “

T

his begins emerging artist Kamau Kenyatte’s bio that paints a portrait of a strong man destined to go great things with this work.

Kenyatte is the full embodiment of the audacious ethos of today’s generation, transcending the popularity of fleeting trends and gimmicks. Socially bold, and artistically vibrant, Kamau’s music contains the edge and raw energy of Three 6 Mafia, and the infectious playfulness of Rae Sremmund.

World domination is exactly what Kenyatte is attempting to do with his individuality and music. He boldly attempts to break down barriers – both in the hip hop community and the LGBT community – two communities that are usually more different than similar. But Kenyatte is evolving those pre-conceived notions, and we are here to pay witness. What have been some obstacles and challenges you have had to overcome during your career as an artist? Trying to make it in the music industry is never easy and gets no better even after you’ve made it “into room.” Constantly having to prove yourself and show that you’re worthy and talented enough to stand with the greats is exhausting. There are so many people out here with the same ambitions as we all strive to obtain the same or similar goals; the challenge is how to get the important people to recognize that you have what it takes and why you’re the one they should bet on! At times it’s like running a political campaign minus the boring suits and bad hairdos. From the moment you set this into motion it’s like a constant race where you hit the ground running and try to be in as many places as you can at once. You have to work hard as hell and try to look cool and be entertaining while doing it. Even with all the challenges there are a lot of blessings as well. To have the gift of creativity that impacts people the way it does blows me away and humbles me every time. When you add in the fact I’m just a kid from DC that came here with a dream and has been able to see it come into fruition the way it has makes me truly grateful.

I have faith in the human spirit that we will continue to examine the injustices all around us and make steps to continue making changes. Look, the fact that I am being featured in a cover story in this magazine – a predominantly white LGBTQ publication - is a big step in the right direction.

On Friday, August 19, Kenyatte is opening the 2016 Heritage of Pride Awards ceremony during New York City Black Pride. Also, on Saturday, August 20, The Overslept Crew - EventBrice (Brice Scipio) and O’Neal Appeal (Dwight Allen O’Neal) - will feature him at their monthly Overslept Brunch Party at Angel of Harlem. “It’s a listening party for selections from my forthcoming “World Domination” EP as well as a viewing party for the new 1996 music video.”

AUGUST 10, 2016 25

ONTHECOVER There is a lack of representation of LGBT people of color in the media - even in LGBT media. How does this make you feel and what do you hope changes? It makes me strive to be better at what I do and represent myself and our community as well as I can. Even though the current course of events in America are disheartening. I walk in an awareness that our wounds have not yet been healed, but the best we have is yet to come. I have faith in the human spirit that we will continue to examine the injustices all around us and make steps to continue making changes. Look, the fact that I am being featured in a cover story in this magazine - a predominantly white LGBTQ publication - is a big step in the right direction. The LBGT community is always fighting for equal rights in the heterosexual world, how can we truly demand respect and equality on the global scale if we cant convey these same qualities amongst ourselves within the LGBTQ community? It is important to show the world and ourselves that we can do this, that we can and will stand together and be one. What has been your response to homophobia in the hip hop community? Have you experienced it? If you have, how? I have not experienced any homophobia in the hip hop community first hand at least not any way that I have been made aware of, but I have heard stories from my counterparts about being dropped from labels because of their sexuality, which makes me sad. Even though we still have issues to overcome, we have come a long way as far as acceptance of the LGBTQ community, including in hip hop music. Hip hop has traditionally been an uber masculine and predominately heterosexual male game. It challenges artists like myself to prove that I can hang with the “big dogs” while still being true to who I am. I have to be a representative for us to show them that we can do it too. Although I’m gay, I still come from the African American community and I still suffer the same hardships, drank the same Kool-Aid and have witnessed most of the same tragedies in my life as so many of my people have. Like them, I also have a story that needs to be told I let my talent and creativity lead the way. Confidence in myself and my gifts will help me to be accepted by the hip hop community. At the end of the day I am convinced that nowadays people just want to hear good music and be entertained.

i LET my talent and creativity lead the way 26 AUGUST 10, 2016

I AM PROUD TO BE ME, I AM PROUD TO BE A MAN, I AM PROUD TO BE A HUMAN. What is your response to racism in the LGBT community? Any racism in any community saddens me. I don’t understand it and I definitely don’t appreciate it. What does “Black Lives Matter” mean to you? I hear a large number of people crying out for their voices to be heard and treated with equality. Hopefully we can finally close the wound that has been inflicted on this country for many years. It represents an awakening to the reality that we still haven’t cleaned up our mess, we’ve just swept it under the rug. I mean look at the primary Republican Presidential candidate, he speaks for a large number of Americans and how they truly feel. Racism and bigotry remains a major problem in this county. It is my duty as an entertainer and most of all as a black man to convey these messages the best way I can and as fearlessly as possible. I cannot be silent. You are performing at NYC Black Pride on August 19. Where does your individual pride come from? My pride comes my father. He instilled in me a since of worthiness, that I am capable of all things and to be grateful that I have been gifted the tools to achieve my goals. I am proud to be me, I am proud to be a man, I am proud to be human. Who are the artists you look to - for inspiration or motivation? I am always amused and inspired by everyone’s contribution to music and wherever they fit in. From the party artists to the more cerebral intellectual types, they all have a place and I appreciate them all. Especially the ones out there grinding and working hard for theirs. Tell our readers about your new EP “World Domination” coming out this fall. It is one of my most personal projects. I really poured a lot of my true self into this while still being very entertaining. I think people will be very impressed. Every project is a challenge - to make it better than the last. I think I’ve stepped up to the plate and did what I had to do. As always, I tapped into every facet of human emotion, including anger, joy, lust, sadness and even loneliness. It feels like a defining moment for me. For more information, visit KamauKenyatte.com. N AUGUST 10, 2016 27

Y

ou spent the whole summer working on your farmer’s tan because you felt insecure about taking off your shirt around others. Some of you may have taken it a step further and decided to be a recluse, hiding inside to avoid participating in activities where you might feel obligated to take off your shirt. Well there’s good news for you all. Summer is winding down. However, this should not be a time of celebration or a validation to stay inside. This should be a time for you to come up with a plan to drop those pounds for next summer and get a six-pack you can be proud of. For many, this will not come easily and will require major lifestyle changes. Yes, as the weather becomes cooler it’s easier to hide the fat under layers. But why? Life is not easy, and seriously, is it really that hard to switch an $8 fast-food meal with an $8 low-fat salad? Is it really that impossible to find 45 minutes to an hour a day for exercise? I would imagine many of you spend more than 45 minutes per day playing Pokemon GO or on social media. Instead of playing a mind numbing game or ranting about how someone said something about, “Blah blah blah,” - invest that time in you.

DAY 1 - CORE

Below I will give you three 30 minute ab routines to do before you do a 30 minute cardio workout. The other three to four days, do weight training, and the last day, just rest and play with your Pokemon.

DAY 3 - STRENGTH

Start now and before you know it, next summer will be here and you will be the first one with your shirt off at the beach or pool party.

Side Plank (Advanced - Bosu Ball Side Plank) 4 sets of 45 seconds per side Plank (Advanced - Bosu Ball Plank) 4 sets at 1 minute per set Side Bridge - 4 sets of 20 reps per side Ab Roller - 4 sets at 1 minute per set (slow, steady, and controlled movements)

DAY 2 - DEFINITION

Reverse Crunch - 4 sets at 1 minute per set Side Jackknife (Advanced - Use Bands) 4 sets of 45 seconds per side Decline Russian Twist (Advanced - Use Plates or Dumbbells) - 4 sets at 1 minute per set Lying Leg Raises (Advanced - Use Leg Weights) 4 sets at 1 minute per set

Hanging Leg Raise (Advanced - Toe To Bar) 4 sets at 1 minute per set Dumbbell Side Bend - 4 sets of 20 reps per side Rope Cable Crunch - 4 sets of 20 reps Windshield Wipers (Advanced - Hanging Windshield Wipers) - 4 sets at 1 minute per set

Keep in mind, in order to see maximal progress, healthy lifestyle choices are equally as important as a solid workout routine. Check out “5 Major Mistakes Holding You Back In The Gym” on nextmagazine.com to learn more. Unsure how to do these exercises or have additional questions, feel free to message me on Instagram @Danwelden or contact me through my website Danstotalfitness.com. N
