PA Naloxone Project Coordinator Full-Time/Exempt/40 hours per week requiring flexibility/Grant funded $45,000 annual salary plus generous paid time off and benefits package
Organization Descriptions: Prevention Point Pittsburgh (PPP) is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the health and safety of individuals who use drugs through the provision of public health services. By both practicing and advocating for harm reduction approaches to substance use, PPP aims to empower individuals and communities to respond to substance use with compassion and understanding. NEXT Harm Reduction (NEXT), made up of the programs NEXT Distro and NEXT Naloxone, works to provide online and mail-based harm reduction resources to individuals who are unable to access in-person services. Position Summary: The PA Naloxone Project Coordinator will oversee the expansion of naloxone distribution services within Pennsylvania through a partnership between NEXT and PPP. This position will be hired as an employee of PPP, will be based in Pittsburgh, and jointly supervised by PPP and NEXT. The PA Naloxone Project Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of NEXT Harm Reduction’s online and mail-based naloxone distribution within Pennsylvania in collaboration with PPP. This position will oversee all program components to increase naloxone access and reduce opioid overdose fatalities statewide. The Coordinator will also support Prevention Point Pittsburgh’s Overdose Prevention Project Coordinator and Executive Director in policy and advocacy efforts. This position blends harm reduction service provision and program management with policy, technology, evaluation, and marketing. A successful candidate will have experience and expertise in at least two of these areas. Responsibilities: ● To work with NEXT and PPP to write and carry out appropriate policies and procedures that are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure successful expansion of naloxone availability statewide. ● To maintain accurate documentation of program data (quantitative and qualitative) and to provide summaries and analyses for planning and reporting purposes. ● To lead stakeholder conversations on evaluation metrics; develop and execute evaluation strategy in partnership with NEXT, PPP leadership, and Vital Strategies. ● To assist in the hiring of a Fulfillment Specialist and provide regular supervision to this individual that allows them to excel at their job and meet program goals.
