Brad Triffitt – Photographer

Brad Triffit is an Australian fashion photographer. He began his career in fashion as a design student at the highly regarded Australian Fashion Design Studio in Sydney. “It was flicking through the pages of Vogue in class that I discovered the art of fashion photography and decided that maybe this was the direction I wanted to go in.” After graduating from the Fashion Design Studio in 2006, Brad moved into the photography world assisting some of Australia’s top fashion photographers before moving to New York in 2010 to shoot professionally. Brad’s love for photography and his trained eye in fashion together have made him one of the top young photographers working in the industry today.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s she developed a diverse sense of style and has the ability to identify with different brands making them visually appealing to the client and consumer. Given the chance to express her vision through style, Marysol loves what she does and is always looking forward to new ways of bringing creativity to her work.

Sheri Terry – Makeup Artist

Sheri Darlyn Terry, born and raised in the Lone Star State, found her fascination and appreciation of make-up and hair at a very early age. After realizing her passion as an artist was in the crafting of beauty, she moved to New York to pursue a career as a make-up and hair artist. Whether the work was for editorials, fashion shows, or advertising campaigns, Sheri took every opportunity to learn and hone her craft. From her efforts emerged her own visual aesthetic and personal style. Shery currently works in Manhattan and Los Angeles.

RITA ORA FOR ROBERTO CAVALLI FALL 2014

NEXT BLOG POST — A certain campaign is a little more than an hour public and it is already the toast of social media. That’s right, the Roberto Cavalli Fall 2014 campaign featuring Rita Ora has racked up thousands of likes, favorites, and whatever superlatives apps-come-lately accumulate. No stranger to the brand, Rita was famously pictured luxuriating aboard the Roberto Cavalli yacht at Festival de Cannes 2014 in May. Steam ahead to the second Tuesday in July and the campaign by photographer Francesco Carrozzini is now live and what a beauty it is. Rita 14 www.nextmanagement.com

so clearly captures the spirit of the Roberto Cavalli brand and looks a certainty to garner thousands and thousands of likes, favorites, and more throughout the coming months. — By: Damien Neva; Published: July 8th 2014 Credits Include: Client, Roberto Cavalli; Campaign, Fall 2014; Photography, Francesco Carrozzini. ARIZONA FOR VOGUE 7 TIMES

NEXT BLOG POST — Not since the days of Allied mobilization in the 1940s has the image of women in industrial manufacturing shown so vividly. There is a tangible masculine-feminine tension at the heart of women clad in heavy denim and leather workwear, which is explored in the pages of the August 2014 issue of Vogue Paris featuring Arizona Muse photographed by Mark Segal. Titled “Working Girl,” this Géraldine Saglio-styled story plunges full-steam into the world of women in the workshop and lets the

sparks fly. A lumberjack-checked mechanic jacket from the Rag & Bone Fall 2014 collection (pictured) perhaps best captures the thrust of the story especially when accessorized with OSHA-rated hearing protection and thick work gloves. At the heart of the editorial, however is the face of Estée Lauder, Arizona Muse, working girl par excellence. — By: Damien Neva; Published July 22nd 2014 www.nextmanagement.com 31

BINX FOR CHANEL FALL 2014 NEXT BLOG POST — This week’s headlines have been rightly dominated by the couture collections being shown in Paris and the countless parties and related social engagements eddying in their wake. Chanel as is its wont captured many of those column inches (and their digital equivalent) with its Tuesday morning show and stayed in the news for the rest of the week by dint of social media. Less than 24 hours ago the brand promoted a glimpse from backstage at the Grand Palais in the form of a photograph of a phalanx of couture models standing at attention with their profiles to the camera. Prominent amongst the models is none other Binx, which when viewed in

light of the house’s Fall 2014 advertising campaign hardly seems a coincidence. The reason is simple, photographed as ever by the man himself, Karl Lagerfeld, the campaign stars Binx. Shot inside a boxing gym, the campaign packs a considerable punch, a straight knock-out that will likely echo long after the ringside bell has gone mute. Making the news is something Chanel does on the daily and with Binx at the heart of the fall advertising that media cycle is likely going to intensify all the more. SHANNON GREY WILLIAMS’S BEAUTY TIPS ON REFINERY29

INTERVIEW — Shannon Grey Williams

What’s your go-to summer fragrance?

How would you describe your personal beauty style?

“I have been wearing Krazy Krizia all year round since 1992!”

“Simple, clean, elegant beauty. Even if I am ‘putting on my face,’ I love to keep it simple and bring out one feature at a time. Or, adding a little something unexpected but not overwhelming — like metallic eyeliner.”

What are the top five items you always stash in your makeup bag? “Shu Uemura’s Eyelash Curler will always be my favorite. I’m a self-professed mascara junky — so I always apply two layers of Maybelline mascara. Make Up Forever’s Face & Body Liquid Foundation is super light and provides fantastic coverage and super long wearing. I’m also hooked on NARS’ The Multiple Cream Blush Stick in G-Spot. Diorskin’s Forever Compact Powder is super light and keeps the shine down, but it’s never cakey.” 36 www.nextmanagement.com

What’s your trick for melt-proof makeup for NYC summers? “You still need to moisturize, but I find a lighter moisturizer works better in the summer. Make sure it has an SPF in the formula — I love the First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Face Cream with SPF 30. “Use less makeup. If you are feeling a bit naked, try boosting your glow with some self-tanner. I use the Tarte Self Tanner, it has a tint so I can see that I am applying evenly. More cream products and less powder products: Cream formula blushes and eyeshadows won’t crease or cake like powder formulas when the sweating starts. Use waterproof mascara if you must, but a couple coats of waterproof over a regular formula often help keep the raccoon eyes away, and it’s easier to remove. If the sweat starts to drip, blot papers are great. Just blot — don’t rub — and your face will stay intact.”

THE LOUNGE #2

What’s your favorite drugstore/bargain product?

What’s the next big trend in beauty?

“Again, I am a lash junky — I love Maybelline’s Lash Discovery Mascara. It has a mini brush that grabs and thickens every lash. I layer it with the Lash Stiletto Mascara for length and a killer effect.”

“I think multitasking products are just going to keep growing at lightening speed. Like the BB and CC creams, we all just want the shortest route to the best look that lasts the longest. Plastic surgeons and dermatologists are all weighing in and helping create cosmeceuticals (combination of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals). This marriage of science and beauty is going to just keep getting stronger and stronger.”

What’s one product will you use forever? “Personally, I’ve been using Makeup Forever Face & Body Liquid Foundation for 12 years. I also keep it in my kit. You’ll have to pry this out of my hands , along with my perfume!”

Where’s the best place in New York to shop for beauty? “There are so many great places, but when I need a quick easy stop that has a million choices, it’s Sephora. I can totally wander and play there without pressure. I always find a product I never knew I needed when I walk in there, which can be dangerous.”

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, $20, available at Shu Uemura; Maybelline Lash Discovery Mascara, $7.99, available at CVS; Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara, $8.99, available at Ulta; Make Up For Ever Face & Body Liquid Foundation, $40, available at Make Up For Ever; NARS The Multiple, $39, available at NARS; Dior Forever Compact Powder, $44, available at Dior; First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Face Cream SPF 30, $38, available at Sephora; Tarte Self Tanner, $39, available at Tarte. — By: Damien Neva

GRACE HARTZEL FOR SAINT LAURENT PERMANENT AND PRE-FALL 2014

NEXT BLOG POST — The Saint Laurent Twitter might not tweet often (169 tweets to date), but when it does the world takes notice. Last month in Paris the house of Saint Laurent announced Hedi Slimane’s ready-to-wear collection for Fall 2014 was entirely made entirely on Grace Hartzel and so it was just a matter of time until a campaign surfaced for this exclusive girl. This week 45 photographs by Hedi Slimane of the permanent and Pre-Fall 2014 collection as worn by Grace were released and comprise the basis for the advertising campaign. Set to the specially commissioned song “Why?” by English musician Miles Kane, the images drift languidly from top to 38 www.nextmanagement.com

bottom of the page at YSL.com. This heady mix of Grace’s beauty, the cut of the collection, the signature black & white photography, and the evocative soundtrack make the three and half minutes sequence pass in an instant, which is roughly the time it takes to read an all-caps tweet. Please visit YSL.com to see the collection in full. Credits include: Client, Saint Laurent; Campaign, Permanent and Pre-Fall 2014; Photography, Hedi Slimane; Location, Los Angeles, December 2013.
